Design Core Detroit

Community-centered design is one of Detroit’s greatest strengths.

Every September, the Detroit Month of Design provides a platform for neighborhood leaders, grassroots organizations, local entrepreneurs, and designers to share ideas, build connections, and imagine new possibilities for our collective future.

That work is only possible because of partners who believe design should be accessible, collaborative, and rooted in community. We’re grateful to the Gilbert Family Foundation for helping make these neighborhood-led events possible and for investing in the people shaping Detroit’s future.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back this September for another month of conversations, collaborations, and Detroit design.
