This Cancer Survivor Month, we are especially grateful to be able to host our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program. Every day, we see the strength, resilience, and determination of cancer survivors as they continue their recovery journey, and we are honored to be a part of that process.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a FREE 12-week wellness program designed specifically for adult cancer survivors. Led by trained instructors, participants build strength, improve physical fitness, reduce fatigue, and connect with others who understand their experience, all in a supportive and welcoming environment.

This month, we celebrate every survivor and the incredible impact this program has on the lives of those we serve. 💛

Celebrate International Yoga Day with us on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a special Master Class led by instructors Preeti, Reena, Sandy, and Ruth. Experience a morning of movement, mindfulness, and connection as we come together to honor the practice of yoga. All levels are welcome!

This weekend, nearly 200 camp counselors came to Oakcrest for a full day of training as we prepare to kick off the summer camp season! Before every camp season, our staff come together to learn about communication, camper safety, inclusion, easy games and arts and crafts and so much more. This year also included the chance for our counselors to earn Y Bucks before we roll them out across all camps! We were so happy to end the day with great prizes, visits from Team Makers and YMCA Camp Bernie and ice cream to cool off. We can't wait for a great camp season! 🏆 Congratulations to Tyler Barksdale, recipient of the 2026 Ryan Patterson Memorial Scholarship!

A graduate of Saint Peter’s Prep, Tyler excelled academically while serving as captain of the football team, leading blood drives, mentoring through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, and helping seniors in his community. His commitment to leadership, service, and uplifting others embodies the spirit of this scholarship.

This fall, Tyler will attend Rice University to study Economics and pursue a career in Public Policy. We are proud to support his journey and look forward to all he will accomplish.

Christine is receiving the Cause-Driven Leader in Social Responsibility Award for leading the Togetherhood volunteer program, building relationships in our communities, raising money for the Annual Support Campaign and so much more.

Lindy is our YPN (YMCA Professional Network) Innovation Award winner thanks to her creative programming, leadership in childcare and commitment to inclusion!
