Today, El Paso County joins communities across our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the victims, the first responders who answered the call, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
Twenty-five years later, we remember their courage, sacrifice and resilience. We will never forget.

In observance, all County administrative office and the Enrqiue Moreno County Courthouse are closed. All operations will resume Tuesday, September 8th.

El Paso County Commissioners Court will not meet on Monday and will resume County business the following week at their regular session meeting on Monday, September 14 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

ICYMI: On Wednesday, August 5th, El Paso County broke ground on the new Ascarate Park Headquarters approved by voters as part of the 2024 Capital Imprpvement Bond!

The new single-story, approximately 8,000 square-foot facility will serve as the central administrative office for El Paso County Parks & Recreation Department. By relocating the administrative offices closer to the park entrance, visitors will have easier access to County staff for reservations, permits, information and other services without having to navigate through the park, improving convenience and the overall visitor experience.

El Paso County invites residents to attend a Special Commissioners Court Meeting on Thursday, Aug. 6th at 6pm at the Ascarate Park Pavilion (6900 Delta Dr.).

County staff will present a summary of the community feedback received throughout the Ascarate Park Information Sessions, including input on proposed park improvements, lake renovations, and discussions surrounding the duck pond.

PLEASE NOTE: Commissioners Court will not take action on the duck pond during this meeting. The purpose is to review the community feedback, discuss the information presented by staff, and continue the public conversation.

Residents who wish to address Commissioners Court may sign up for public comment before the meeting and will have up to five minutes to speak.
