We have some serious power in the house! We are incredibly excited to be hosting the Fargo Cheer All-Star squad every single week at CrossFit Fargo. These athletes are hitting the gym to build the raw power, core strength, and explosiveness they need to dominate the mat and be the absolute best cheer squad they can be. 🤸‍♀️⚡️

But the excitement doesn't stop with the athletes. We are also hosting their moms! While the squad is building up their performance for competition, their moms are right alongside them working on General Physical Preparedness—building the strength, stamina, and resilience they need to thrive in their everyday lives. 👩‍👧💪

This is the beauty of the CrossFit methodology: it meets absolutely everybody exactly where they are at. Whether you are a competitive cheerleader training for a national title or a busy mom staying strong for your family, our needs do not differ by the type of training we are doing, only by the degree to which we do it. Happy Workout Wednesday! 🤸‍♂️⚡️

Today, we are talking about the bar muscle-up—a high-skill movement that represents the ultimate fusion of gymnastics power and raw strength.

In CrossFit, we don't just hope you catch one; we build it through intentional progressions. It starts with learning how to transfer energy from your core to your extremities using the hollow-to-arch swing (the exact same foundation we build in our kipping pull-ups). From there, it's about developing the pressing strength to drive out of the deep dip position, heavily targeting the upper chest and triceps.

Advanced skills like this shouldn't just be thrown at you. They need to be broken down using the Tell, Show, Do, Check method:
* Tell: Explaining the mechanics and the "why."
* Show: Demonstrating the movement or drill visually.
* Do: Letting you practice the specific progression.

It is Testimony Tuesday, and today we are celebrating Adam! 🏃‍♂️💥

Adam has been absolutely crushing his fitness goals with us—adding muscle mass and dropping body fat. But his biggest win goes way beyond the scale. Adam is currently training for a marathon and has realized firsthand just how much strength and conditioning outside of his running has aided his ability to do so successfully. 🎯

Before finding us, Adam was only running and not prioritizing any strength work, which eventually led to some major injuries. After working with physical therapists and being referred to us here at CrossFit Fargo, he decided to go all in and build discipline in a whole new way. Now, he literally runs to the gym, lifts heavy weights with us, and runs home! 👟🏋️‍♂️

Adam’s journey is a perfect example of why we need a constantly varied approach to our fitness. If you want to be specifically successful and prevent injury—not just in sport, but in life—you have to build the structural strength to support your engine.
