After School is Back at the Y!
The school year is here, and our After School Program is back in full swing at the Saleeby Family YMCA!
We’re excited to welcome kids back for another year filled with fun, friendship, learning, and activities that keep them engaged after the school bell rings!
Starts August 24 for the Fayetteville Y, as Cumberland County Schools begin the new school year.

What an amazing School Supply Drive & Back-to-School Cardio Party we had on Saturday! 🎉

For weeks, our lobby was a collection spot for school supplies, and thanks to YOU, we collected a generous amount! 🎒

✏️ All supplies have been organized and are now being distributed to multiple schools throughout Cumberland County!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who donated, including those who donated but weren’t able to join us on Saturday! And thank you to our amazing instructors who led the party and everyone who came out, danced, and helped make it happen! 💙

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who brings energy, encouragement, and so many smiles to the Fayetteville YMCA -Doris! 💙

Doris has been a Zumba instructor for over 12 years, and her classes are filled with enthusiasm, positivity, and the kind of energy that keeps everyone moving!

But Doris is so much more than an incredible instructor. She is a motivator, mentor, and encourager, always willing to support and guide new instructors and members alike as they grow.

As our Instructor Event Coordinator, Doris also works behind the scenes to help make sure our Saturday cardio events run smoothly and successfully. Her dedication and attention to detail help bring everything together!

We are so grateful for the passion, dedication, and JOY Doris brings to our YMCA community.

Making a Difference in Our Local Schools!

The Saleeby Family YMCA is proud to support our local students and help them start the school year strong!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, staff, and community, 448 school supply items were collected and delivered to Highland Elementary School!
Every notebook, pencil, backpack, and supply is more than just an item — it’s a little extra support to help a child feel prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible. Together, we’re strengthening our community and helping our local kids have a great start to a great school year!
