Senior spotlight day 1!

Kaleb Schouten has been running for Fondy since 8th grade. He also is on the swim and track teams for Fondy.

Kaleb brings leadership to our younger runners and is always one of the first to introduce himself to the freshmen. He also has the record for most summer training days attended!

Shorewood Invite updates - 17 new personal records!!!

Fondy traveled south to compete in their last regular season meet. We ran a smaller crew to gear up for Conference and Sectional meets in the next couple of weeks. This is a great way to end the regular season, as all boys run together and all girls run together. Updates below -

Boys -

Senior Finley Maxwell ran a HUGE PR (17:32.1) to lead the boys! The rest of the varsity scorers were Landon Schuppe, Ryan Waltenberry (PR - 18:45.3), Owen Berg, and AJ Winkler. Fondy Boys finished 12/18

The rest of the boys had some really big races!! Freshmen Kaleb Hinojosa & Bentley Burkhead broke 21 minutes for the first time. Freshman William Samens ran another sub-21 minute race and a new personal record! Sophomore Ethan Berg also ran a sub-21 minute race for the first time. He has shaved off nearly 2:30 in the last 3 meets.

Freshmen Angelo Fregonese NEARLY broke 21 minutes with a 50+ second PR. Sophomore David Baltz crushed a 2 minute personal record with a sub-22 minute race. Junior Phoenix Herr raced to a new PR and is gearing up to have a sub-21 minute race as we close out the season. Sophomore Sam Drehmel keeps chipping away at his PRs. Finally, sophomore Ben Neumann crushed a new 30 second PR.

Girls -

Junior Macie Giese broke her own record with a 20:26.1 run, finishing first for Fondy. Close behind her was sophomore Lorelei Clarenbach, breaking 21 minutes for the first time! Both lady cards hit the podium with 8th & 11th place finishes. Jurista Rosenthal, Chloe Gilson, and Vivien Parker round out the rest of the varsity crew. Fondy Girls finished 7/19.

Freshman Kloey Kienzle broke 25 minutes for the first time. Juniors Emily Van Nocker & Alaina Kent also soared to new personal records. Freshman Maddie Olig crushed another PR!!

The 56th annual Fond du Lac Memorial XC Invitational was a success!! 900+ runners from 19 high schools and 13 middle schools hit the course at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. This is up nearly 400 runners from last year's meet. It was a wet one for sure! But hey, it's cross country!!

Here are Fondy's highlights from the meet:

Middle School Girls (153 finishers) -
10th place - Sophia Gross (Woodworth)
11th place - Alexis Aenter (Woodworth)
13th place - Eliana Tautges (Sabish)
15th place - Holly Scoresby (Woodworth)
17th place - Yesenia Vazquez (Theisen)

Middle School Boys (158 finishers) -
11th place - Sawyer Rohloff (Sabish)
16th place - Henry Wacek (Theisen)

Great job, junior Cards!!

JV Girls (119 finishers) -
Freshman Brooklyn Wells had another great sub-24 minute race, finishing 12th overall and leading the JV girls to a 5th place finish. Freshmen Kloey Kienzle & Sophia Watson also finished with new personal records of their own!!

JV Boys (171 finishers) -
Freshmen Kaleb Hinojosa was seconds off his personal best, leading the JV boys to a 6th place finish. Sophomore Ethan Berg ran an AMAZING race, breaking his previous personal record by 1:30!! Freshman Angelo Fregonese broke 22 minutes for the first time! Sophomores Sam Drehmel & Ben Neumann and junior Ali Ozahin all set new personal records as well.

Varsity Girls (98 finishers) -
A much needed rebound from last week's meet, the varsity girls dug in for a 4th place finish.
11th place - Macie Giese
14th place - Aleah Sievert
18th place - Lorelei Clarenbach

Junior Jurista Rosenthal snagged an all-time best.

Varsity Boys (111 finishers)
Junior Aidan McAdams snagged 6th place, leading the varsity boys to an 8th place finish.

A lot of consistent races from Fondy! Next stop, Shorewood. Less than 2 weeks to our conference meet.
