Future School Outdoor Education

The first of our summer programs was a success! The weather was a bit uncooperative but all the kids persevered and had a blast! Also check out the 10 tires we cleaned out of the river and staged to be picked up!

We closed the school year out with a great 5 day trip on the Lower Buffalo! And you know what? We had so much fun we’re going to do it all again in a week for our Summer Programs! If you want to join us, there are a few spots that opened up last minute! Let us know! (You do have to be a high school student from the surrounding area. Rising 9-12th graders only!)

We got out today to help some friends from the AURA Ultra Trail Series on a trail in Danville! One crew worked on drainages, one on brush clearing, and the saw crew worked on cleaning trees from the trail corridor!

Guess what time it is!!!! Summer Program Time! We've got 3 trips for you this year! The student favorite 5 Day kayaking trip through the Lower Buffalo Wilderness Area. New this year are 2 Intro Level trips. We will be based at an established campsite for 3 days with a day of hiking, a day of kayaking/fishing, and a day of Rock Climbing.

“Wait this is actually really fun!” -a student We got to get outside in the boats today!

The Saplings were out this week and we spent the time backpacking on the Butterfield Trail at Devil’s Den it was a little chilly but we still had a great time!

We got to go play outside today! The weather was beautiful and the trails needed some post storm cleanup!

Students in Outdoor Ed 2 are learning advanced wilderness first aid. Today that was learning to take vitals!
