I had been waiting a long time to wear sweater in the morning & today I get to. It’s one of my fave sweaters 🥰 (thanks hubby!)

Today.. I lay one of my dear uncles to rest. Death is always a reminder to live & cherish those around you because pain is pain no matter how old or young they are when their time comes & we never know when our time will come.

Today is a grand reminder to LIVE!

Today is a reminder that dreams aren’t only meant to be experienced in our sleep.

Work for it. Go for it. Tomorrow isn’t promised & our legacies for our children are the foundation we lay for them every single day.

On this Friday, whatever you’ve been thinking about doing.. go do it. Make the plan today & go do it. Idc if you’ve been putting off bowling for the last two months.. do it this weekend.

You deserve to!

Make today count.. and every day after!

Being a Mommy & an Author Means…

THIS is the reality.
THIS is my school night.
THIS is why I’m up early, or late, to meet deadlines.

& I can’t forget my husband’s role in all of this. Without him being the rock & foundation for our family.. we couldn’t do any of this the way that we are able to. Every ship needs its captain!

My goal everyday is:

To be present.
To be there.
To be helpful.
To be a mom.
To be a wife.
To be a teammate.
To be all the things they need me to be: chef, nurse, housekeeper, superwoman, advocate, coach, destroyer of all evil, etc 😜

And theeeeeen.. I am a thriller author to the world.

Happy September 9th!!

How lucky am I that I get to spend the morning with this little ball of energy? 🥰

We got to brush our teeth together, which isn’t a lot, but it’s bonding time. My daughter also joined in on us a little later.

I’m taking advantage of the time because this time next year she will be in middle school and in school much earlier 🥺

As for the book?

My second round of edits are coming along so beautifully! I can’t wait to finish them out this week.

Then.. on to other eyes!

October is coming SO FAST!

But with a little faith truth & pixie dust.. I think I can still make it work! 😅

No “Happy Sunday” post for me today.. bc it’s not a very happy one for me today, unfortunately.

So,

Throwing myself into my work to try & distract myself.

On the more positive side.. I’m a few pages away from finishing my first set of edits.. aaaaannnd.. today is the deadline so I guess I’ll make that.

There’s always a silver lining in a dark cloud.. or at least that’s what they say.

All I know is.. second set of edits begin tomorrow… don’t forget to mark those calendars: 10-27-26!

Happy Saturday. ☺️

Happy.. it’s officially Labor Day weekeeeeeennndddd!!!!! 🥂 🎉

Which means even mama gets a break from the babies she watches during the week.

But it also means.. my school agers will be with me. Boooooooooo 🤣🤣 jk! We can all use a break I’m sure!

Today.. I’m focusing on peace. That’s it. Just peace.

We have quite the busy weekend & my head and heart are already in whirlwinds lol so I need to calm the storm, so to speak.

Having some girl time this morning, a bbq this afternoon, a wedding tomorrow afternoon .. and did I mention tomorrow is also the latest I have to finish my FIRST ROUND of edits? 😩😩🫣😱😱😱

I’m not panicking. You are! 😭 lol

Also,

Thankful that my toddler tot got a new trampoline for him! He’s going to love it 🥰

Here’s the life of a mom + author..

Mom puts her toddler to sleep by contact napping.

Mom puts toddler in pack n play to stay asleep and she gets back to editing her book.

Toddler wakes up.

Toddler sees that he’s not with mom anymore.

Toddler CLIMBS OUT of the pack n play & lays back on his mama.

Toddler falls back asleep almost immediately.

Mom edited 1 chapter before he did this.

The toddler sleeps peacefully.

The mom is a body pillow.
