Tonight was about more than just a football game. Tonight at our annual pink out game Gilmer and Pittsburg fans came together, donating a total of $660.84 to a beloved community member fighting a difficult battle with cancer—fondly known as Nurse Jenny! We still have to add pink out shirt sale donations, but we are in awe of the generosity of both Gilmer and Pittsburg fans. We were so happy to see Nurse Jenny at the game tonight and got to snap a picture with her!!🩷🩷

It’s PINK OUT night!!!🩷🩷🩷
Hey Gilmer and Pittsburg fans, the gilmer Cheer program is collecting donations in honor of our pink out game to go directly to a beloved community member in a difficult battle with cancer—fondly known as Nurse Jenny!

Here is a little of Nurse Jenny’s story:

Our recipient lives with her Husband in Gilmer, Tx. She worked as the school nurse at Robert F Hunt Elementary in Diana for 12 years until complications from her illness left her unable to work.
Her battle remains ongoing and strenuous, as there is no current cure for multiple myeloma.

Look for the Gilmer Jr High cheerleaders this evening! They’ll be walking around with pink buckets to give your donation! Let’s come together and support!

Don’t forget to wear your pink!!!!🩷🩷🩷
