COMMITMENT ALERT!
We are excited to welcome Lilian Beattie to the Aquinas Women’s Rugby family!
Lilian brings four years of rugby experience and a ton of versatility to our backline. She has experience playing every back position, but calls flyhalf her favorite. Her versatility doesn’t stop there. She has also stepped into the forwards at prop and lock when her teams needed her.
Lilian has competed with the Orangeville Bears at the high school level and Fergus Highland Rugby Club. This past season, she was named captain, building on the trust her coaches have consistently placed in her as a leader on and off the pitch.
She brings that same drive into the classroom. Lilian earned Honor Roll all four years of high school with a 3.8 GPA and was named Athlete of the Year during her sophomore year.
We are excited to add another intelligent, versatile, and competitive player to our program. We can’t wait to see Lilian in an Aquinas jersey and watch what she brings to the pitch!
Welcome to the AQWR family, Lilian!

Committed!! Vaeh Hearvey
We are excited to welcome Vaeh Hearvey to the Aquinas Women’s Rugby family! Vaeh comes to us from Morton West, where she has already built an impressive reputation in just two years of rugby. Playing at flanker and No. 8, Vaeh brings physicality, determination, and a relentless defensive presence to the pitch.
Her impact has been recognized with the Brick Wall Award, a testament to her toughness and defensive strength, and she helped her team qualify for the Girls State Championship. Vaeh’s athletic ability extends beyond rugby as well she has earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and recognition in the West Suburban Conference in her other sports, showing the kind of competitive drive and versatility that makes great athletes stand out.
Vaeh is the type of player who embraces the hard work, the contact, and the responsibility that comes with playing in the back row. We are incredibly excited to see her continue to grow and develop at the next level, and we know she will make a powerful impact both on and off the field.
Welcome to the AQWR family, Vaeh.
