NCTA Arrowhead Chapter

Yesterday (June 6) was National Trails Day, so members and friends of the Arrowhead Chapter went on a 5-mile hike starting at County Rd 61 heading south next to the Prairie River on the NCT. We enjoyed a beautiful morning, saw lots of yellow and pink ladyslippers and other flowers (which I didn't capture~) and had an amazing time!

Be sure to join us next month at our NCTA Trail Towns Celebration at Cohasset's Tioga Beach Park on Thursday, July 9th at 1pm for a short presentation followed by a hike. With questions, reach out to [email protected].

Have you seen moose or moose sign while on the NCT?

Minnesota moose survey completed, partnership plans to improve habitat Moose in northern Minnesota remain stable. Their numbers have risen slightly, according to a recent DNR survey.

Wonderfully beautiful day for a walk in the woods with Renee and Matt, two new friends, for the Arrowhead's scheduled group hike! While our group was small, we were mighty, and enjoyed the beauty of the new segment north of Remer. Next we look forward to the March group hike, which can be found on our Events page! 😄
