Happy extrusion day! After the aluminum arrives by flatbed from Arizona, we carefully unload it via forklift and then arrange it by order of the drill schedule in the factory. Carl makes the job look like a walk in the park, but trust us, it can be a meticulous and nerve-wracking task. 🥵

At 800g per rim, the B43 was a triple-walled rim we did indeed manufacture in the mid-late 2000s. We wanted something stronger and stiffer than the Deep V. Weight? Who cared. Would we do it again? Ehhhh. The support on the inside of the join was necessary for added strength, but it made rolling it more difficult. Although nothing bad ever happened with its namesake... maybe not the bar we'd want for a product name today. As Mitch suggested, "if we made that rim today, it'd probably be a little taller so we could name it the B-52s." 🎶 Alternatively, we still do manufacture the Deep V and the Chukker rims, if you're after something tall and sturdy.

We had plans to introduce our new DEEPEST and DEEPER rims in the Deep V line up today designed for aerodynamic 19mm to 38mm width tires for April Fool's, but we got nervous someone *might* actually want these rims & they would be a NIGHTMARE to roll on the roller. 🤣
