🚨 Sun 9/20 🌧️ UPDATE 🚨

Southern Little League - ALL GAMES TODAY CANCELLED 😢

Unfortunately the continued current & near future conditions have left the fields unplayable for all expected games today, with recovery not expected for safe play.

Planned make up for this weekend will bump to the weekend of October 25th for those able to participate.

🗣️ Attention Southern Little League

Grounds crew & SLL board leadership are already up & out checking fields for playability this morning. While all games are currently expected to play as scheduled be sure to check here (FB), your email inbox, and primary communication methods from your coaches for any updates.

Player Safety always comes first (2nd, 3rd…) then field sustainably & scheduling consistency.

Below should help clarify expectations moving forward:

Southern Little League will make every effort to ensure our young athletes get every opportunity to play each game as scheduled. When weather conditions impact scheduling, we will do our best to relay updates in a timely manner. Gameplay decisions based on field conditions should be anticipated to be conveyed ~90min prior to game start time. Gameplay decisions based on activate / ongoing weather conditions are made as soon as possible based on Southern Little League safety policies.

Examples for today:

12:30p game - announcement by 11:00a
2p by 12:30p
3:30p by 2p
Etc…

If no updates are sent, expect games to be played as scheduled. We may delay or cancel & rebook as needed, but if an early game is impacted, we’ll continue to attempt others pending realistic condition improvements.

🧢⚾️🍕
“Walk-Up Wednesdays” at Southern Little League winds down with one final night of fun TONIGHT - for Minors & Majors ages kids. Please register via link ahead so we can plan pizza for the players.

Had a GREAT turnout last 3x weeks with 30+ players each time, across 2x fields, of all ageshaving an amazing time coaching their own games, maintaining their own rules, and ensuring everybody got chances at whatever positions they wanted to try.

No adults involved except an ump for balls/strikes & some spotters for safety, otherwise KIDS RULE!

ℹ️⤵️

2026 Walk-Up Wednesdays
"Walk-Up Wednesdays" will take place each Wednesday in August ( 5, 12, 19, 26) from 7:30p - 9:30p.

Looking for "S'More" Baseball this summer? Southern's “Sandlot Style” kid-led baseball game series it set up purely for the fun of the game.

Open to Minors & Majors aged players (8u-12u) from Spring season.

The cost is $5 / week ($20 for full session) to cover registration and pizza for the kids. To avoid auto-added service fee in the system, please play to pay via SLL Paypal link or bring cash the day of the event

Meet at the Concession Stand area each week to divide into teams & head to fields.

Adult Southern LL Coaches will be present to facilitate a fun event and to Ump, but otherwise this is an opportunity for kids to be allowed to coach the bases, pick positions, and play at their own pace. If we have several players who pitch/catch we will try to rotate every inning.

All standard little league safety & equipment rules still apply (USA bats, Bring batting helmets, Catchers gear if appropriate, etc…)
