Yes, we have a lot of tools. Here's why that matters.
Dry needling. E-stim. Manual therapy. Joint mobilizations. Joint manipulation. Soft tissue mobilization. Cupping. IASTM (scraping). Hot stones. Exercise prescription. Neuro-musculoskeletal re-training. NMES. Musculoskeletal ultrasound. And more.
We don't use all of these on everyone. We use whichever ones actually match what you need, in that moment, to move you toward your goals.
Because here's the truth about most PT: it's not the tools that are missing — it's the customization. Cookie-cutter plans. The same three exercises handed to every patient regardless of what's actually going on. Repeater sessions that look identical week after week, whether or not you're actually progressing.
That's not how we practice.
Every session starts with an assessment — what's changed since last time, what's progressing, what's not, and what today actually calls for. Then we treat accordingly. Some sessions lean heavily manual. Some are almost entirely load and movement. Some blend several tools together. The plan adapts because you're not the same person you were at your last visit — your body is either responding or it's not, and we adjust in real time either way.
Having this many tools isn't about doing more to you. It's about never having to force you into a treatment that isn't the right one for where you are right now.
That's the difference between generic care and care that's actually built around you.

Cleared to play isn't the same as built to perform.
Here's something we see constantly at Alpha: an athlete gets cleared by their doctor, finishes PT, and heads back to their sport... only to get hurt again a few months later. Or they just never quite get back to their previous level.
Why? Because there's a gap between rehab, general fitness, and true sports performance — and almost every athlete falls right into it.
Alpha Performance Coaching was built to close that gap. Instead of guessing, we identify the specific physical qualities your sport demands — strength, power, speed, deceleration, change of direction, rotational power, jumping and landing mechanics — and train them on purpose. Not just a harder workout. A more intentional one.
We offer two ways to train:
1-on-1 Performance Coaching — Private, fully individualized coaching built around your goals, training history, and current limitations. A coach is beside you for every rep. Great for return-to-performance after injury or targeted sport-specific strength work.
Small-Group Sport-Specific Training — Athletes who play the same sport train together, working the physical qualities that sport actually demands, with real coaching and real progression at a lower cost per athlete. We currently work with golf, baseball/softball, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, running, pickleball, and other field and court sports.
If you have an athlete (or you are one) heading into a new season, coming back from injury, or just tired of training without a plan — we'd love to talk it through.
Book a complimentary consult call and we'll map out what your sport, or your season, actually asks of your body. Link below.

"I have dealt with back pain for over 20 years and have tried everything. Dr B was the first to not only help with my pain currently, but also taught me how to manage it in the future. I am so grateful." - John H
Twenty years is a long time to search for an answer. John had tried it all before coming to us — and what finally made the difference wasn't just short-term relief, it was actually understanding what was driving his pain and learning how to manage it going forward.
That's the goal with every patient who walks through our door: not a temporary fix, but real answers and the tools to stay ahead of the problem long term.
Thank you, John, for trusting us with your care after so many years of frustration, and for sharing your story with us.
If you've been dealing with pain that keeps coming back no matter what you've tried, we would love to help you find the real cause. Send us a message or give us a call to schedule a visit at Alpha Osteopractic in Hampstead, NC.

Here's something we see all the time: someone comes in pointing to their knee, or their shoulder, convinced that's where the problem lives. And to be fair — that IS where they feel it.
But pain tells you where you feel a problem. It doesn't always tell you where the problem actually started.
Knee pain can be driven by limited ankle or hip mobility, weak hips and feet, or an old injury that never fully healed. Shoulder pain can trace back to thoracic mobility, scapular control, or even the neck. Treating only the painful spot can absolutely provide relief — but relief without understanding the cause is often temporary.
That's why at Alpha Osteopractic, we don't stop at "where does it hurt." We assess the whole system — mobility, strength, movement quality, tissue capacity, training load, and injury history — to find out what's really driving your pain.
Our goal isn't just to calm things down for a week or two. It's to help you understand why it started, why it keeps returning, and what needs to change so you can build lasting physical capacity — and stay out of pain for the long run.
Stop chasing the location of your pain. Start identifying the reason behind it. If that sounds like what you've been missing from past treatment, we'd love to talk. Send us a message or give us a call to schedule a visit.
Performance isn't built by accident.
It's built through intentional programming, skilled coaching, consistent ex*****on, and training that actually transfers to an athlete's goals — not just a random collection of workouts.
That's the foundation of Alpha Performance Coaching. Through individualized, sport-specific training, we help athletes develop:
Strength and power
Speed and change of direction
Movement quality and control
Confidence under pressure
The physical capacity their sport demands
Every drill has a purpose. Every program has a progression. And every athlete gets real, hands-on coaching — not just a workout sheet.
If you're an athlete (or a parent of one) looking for training that's actually built around your sport and your goals, we'd love to talk about it.

"The most effective and thorough care I have ever received. They are truly problem solvers!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This review from Zatha is exactly the kind of outcome we aim for with every single client who walks through our doors.
Notice what made the difference: a genuine full-body assessment and a real look at mechanics — not just poking at the painful area and calling it a day. That's how you end up with a plan that actually creates immediate relief AND long-term improvement, instead of a short-term fix that leaves you right back where you started.
Thank you so much, Zatha, for the kind words and for trusting us with your care!
If you're dealing with pain that hasn't fully resolved with past treatment, we'd love to take a real look at what's going on. Send us a message or give us a call to schedule a visit at Alpha Osteopractic in Hampstead, NC.
You do this every single day? 🤔
Yes. Day after day, client after client.
Why?
Because I love it. 🩵
Every client who comes through our door has a different story, a different history, and a different reason their body is stuck. My job isn't to just treat the spot that hurts — it's to dig deeper, find out why it's happening in the first place, and teach my clients how to actually understand and take care of their own bodies going forward.
That's the part I love most. Not just relieving pain in the moment, but empowering people to move well, stay active, and keep doing the things they love for the rest of their lives.
So yes — I do this every single day. And I'll keep doing it, because helping people get their life back never gets old.
If you're tired of band-aid fixes and want to find the real root cause of your pain, we'd love to help.

We are hiring a Sports/Ortho Physical Therapist in Hampstead, NC.
Alpha Osteopractic was built for clinicians who believe exceptional care requires time, autonomy, clinical reasoning, and accountability.
Our clinicians are not expected to rush between multiple patients, follow generic protocols, or settle for temporary improvements without understanding what is driving the problem.
They are given the time and responsibility to:
• Think beyond the diagnosis
• Investigate the true cause of pain and dysfunction
• Deliver precise, individualized treatment
• Load patients with purpose
• Educate and empower the people they serve
• Continually improve their clinical skills and leadership
This is a role for a Physical Therapist who wants to practice at the top of their skill set—and understands that meaningful autonomy comes with meaningful accountability.
You will have one full hour with each patient, the support to pursue clinical mastery, and the opportunity to help shape a practice defined by higher standards.
We are not looking for someone who simply wants another PT position.
We are looking for someone who wants to do their best work, take ownership of their outcomes, and keep becoming better.
If you refuse to practice average care, we invite you to explore the role.
