The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District will conduct a temporary drawdown of Old Hickory Lake this November to assess shoreline conditions and perform essential recreation area maintenance.
A slow drawdown is scheduled to begin Nov. 2, 2026, from the lake’s normal pool elevation of approximately 445 MSL to a target elevation of 443 MSL by Nov. 6, 2026. This target elevation is scheduled to be maintained through Nov. 20, 2026. USACE aims to recover to normal pool, 445 MSL, by Nov. 28, 2026.
⚠️ Note: Actual lake levels may be influenced by rainfall and local weather conditions.
