Meet Orlando Molina. On any given day, you can find our Boys’ Program Manager right in the middle of the studio chaos, leading by example. He might have a resume that spans from Havana to Lima, but at his core, he’s just one of the boys, bringing the exact same grit, drive, and energy to the studio that he expects from his dancers.

Orlando started his own journey at age ten in Cuba, eventually performing across the globe as a principal dancer. Now, he’s channeling that 14-year professional career into mentoring the next generation. He knows exactly what it takes to get from the studio floor to the international stage, and he’s here to help our dancers build that future.

Meet Principal Instructor Kelly Myernick Kubin! 🩰

Kelly’s journey with Houston Ballet began in 1996 as an Academy student. After a stellar 14-year career on stage as a First Soloist, where she originated roles in masterpieces like Stanton Welch’s La Bayadère, she transitioned her incredible expertise to the studio.

Today, she leads our Academy contemporary program, coaches Houston Ballet II, and stages renowned works globally. Off the clock, you can find her lecturing in the Houston community or spending time with her family in the Heights.

We are so lucky to have her guiding the next generation of dancers! Drop a 💙 to show Ms. Myernick some love.
