Ever thought about visiting one of Northside’s long runs? We’d love to have you and meet you!! Our group has athletes that run every day of the week, but our official group long run is on Saturday mornings in The Woodlands!
Most groups meet at 5 or 6 a.m. and we have all paces and distances. Then, many hang for coffee and post-run chats after. DM us for the meet up spot if you’d like to visit!

It’s almost go time!!! Check out our Spotlight on !! Good luck to all our athletes tomorrow! 👏🏽
Eric Ortiz began his triathlon journey in May 2025 and quickly discovered a passion for testing his limits through endurance sport. IRONMAN Texas will be his first full Ironman.
His path to the start line came together in a unique way. After completing his third sprint triathlon, someone suggested Ironman, and the idea stuck. Eric works for a company connected to Tellepsen, the event’s general contractor, and with their encouragement he helped launch a triathlon club they would support. He will proudly race in a Tellepsen tri suit, grateful for the people who helped inspire the journey.
At the heart of it all is family. Watching his daughters work hard in gymnastics and pursue their own goals gave Eric a deeper reason to commit. When he encourages them to push beyond their limits, he wants them to see him doing the same. Taking on Ironman means stepping far outside his comfort zone and leading by example.

We are rounding out our Ironman Texas Spotlight!! Next up - Charlie Hill 👏🏼
Charlie has loved running since high school, but it was only a few years ago after college that he began racing seriously. Since then, he has completed more than 10 marathons and now finds himself lining up for some kind of race nearly every weekend. His passion for competition and steady drive to improve have quickly made racing a way of life.
Over the past year, Charlie has expanded into triathlon, starting completely from scratch with no real cycling or swimming background. He is now training for IRONMAN Texas, which will be his second full Ironman.
Looking ahead, Charlie’s goals are to qualify for all six World Marathon Majors and ultimately race at the Ironman World Championship in Kona. With his consistency and determination, he is just getting started.

IronMan Texas Spotlight - 🎉
Ashten Parra recently crossed the finish line of her first Half Ironman in an impressive time of 5:49:33, a race she describes as one of the best days of her life. That performance reflects the dedication, grit, and heart she brings to every challenge she takes on.
Beyond her own training, Ashten has loved helping train others through the Northside community, encouraging athletes to chase goals of their own. Now, she is excited to take on her next big challenge at IRONMAN Texas.
