Want a better arm swing? Start with the mechanics. 🏐

You don’t need a full court, or even a standing position, to get quality arm-swing reps.

A few fundamentals to focus on:

1️⃣ Toss in front of your hitting shoulder. Give your arm room to work through the ball.

2️⃣ Low elbow → high elbow. Load the arm, then lead with the elbow as you accelerate toward contact.

3️⃣ Contact with the palm/heel of the hand, just above center. Get your hand through the ball instead of simply slapping at it.

4️⃣ Finish the swing. Follow through every rep and build the complete motion into muscle memory.

One of the reasons the VolleyBoard works so well for this drill is that it absorbs much of the impact. You can actually swing through the ball with proper mechanics without needing a huge space—or chasing balls all over the place. 😅

Kneeling also takes the approach and jump out of the equation, letting you isolate the upper-body mechanics and get repetition after repetition.

Living room. Garage. Gym. Park. Beach. Even under a pop-up tent. 😂

Sometimes improving your swing is simply about slowing things down, isolating the movement, and getting more QUALITY reps.

Good mechanics → repetition → instinct. 🏐
