Our space will have over 5000 square feet of climbing surface, with 16ft bouldering walls, a 35-foot overhanging tower for top rope and lead climbing, as well as a separate, kids-focused climbing area. If it weren’t for surfing we’d all be climbers 🧗🌊🏄
This may be a controversial opinion, but if you want to become a better climber this year, spend more time on ropes 🧗
Rope climbing gives you more time on the wall, more movement practice, and access to a whole new side of the sport. Whether your goal is to improve your technique, build endurance, or start climbing outdoors, rope climbing is one of the best tools for accelerating your progress.

Want to climb V3s and V4s more consistently?
Stop looking at a route as one big climb.
When you’re projecting, break the climb into smaller sections and focus on solving one sequence at a time. Once you can do each section confidently, start linking them together.
Progress often comes faster when you stop trying to conquer the entire climb at once and start treating it like a series of smaller challenges.
What’s helped you consistently climb these routes?
Raise your hand if you’ve ever googled what these terms mean 🖐️
“Say it like a climber” technique edition 🧗
1. Flagging — Extending one leg outward to improve balance and prevent your body from swinging off the wall
2. Smearing — Using the rubber of your climbing shoe directly against the wall for friction when footholds are limited
3. Heel Hook — Using your heel on a hold to pull your body closer to the wall and create stability
4. Toe Hook — Hooking the top of your foot onto a hold to maintain tension and control during a move
5. Matching — Placing both hands or both feet on the same hold to reset positioning or prepare for the next move
Learning climbing movement and technique makes routes feel smoother, more controlled, and way less exhausting.
