NATIONAL RUNNER UP Josh Daltro! After injury forfeiting out at the SEC tournament, Josh came in as the 58th seed. Josh teched his way to day 2, beating the 7 and 10 seed. Then grinded out 2 gritty wins in the quarters and semis. Josh out scored all of his opponents by a margin of 64-24

Your Ospreys had an absolute blast at nationals. In a weekend full of the best wrestlers in the country, we placed 28th overall in D1 and D2 as a team out of 97 total. So proud of our wrestlers and we cannot wait until next year… swoop 🦅

At 285, Felix McDuffy is your representative from UNF. He wants to know who’s yelling from the stands. Coming off of a 3rd place finish, and second highest finish of the team at SEC, Felix is already rolling into Shreveport

Storm Ward is your 133 pound national qualifier. Storm holds 4 third place finishes to his name this year at UCF classic, UF Classic, Rattler Invite, and USF IBT. Storm is prepared to continue his winning ways in Shreveport

Ryan Sirico will represent the Ospreys at 235 pounds in Shreveport. Ryan holds a record of 12-7 this season. Ending the season off strong with two first place finishes at Rattler Invite and USF IBT along with a 5th place finish at SEC tournament, Ryan prepares to carry on his momentum onto nationals. Romans 8:31 “What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?”

Max Szabo is your 165 pound national qualifier. With a 17-6 record, Max leads the team in pins with 8. Max is heading to Shreveport backed up by three 1st place finishes at UF Classic, USF IBT, and Rattler Invite in hopes of achieving All-American status. Romans 8:18 “For I believe our current sufferings are nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed to us.”

At 197 pounds, Luca Fiannaca. Not only did Luca place 6th at the SEC tournament, but he is also the UNF wrestling club president. His leadership shows on and off the mat. His regular season placements of 2nd at UCF classic, 4th at UF Classic and USF IBT, and 6th at Rattler Invite shows that Luca leads by strong example in our room and is a valuable asset to be bringing to Shreveport

Tristen Darling will represent the Ospreys at 184 pounds. He placed 5th at the SEC conference tournament this past weekend, punching his ticket to nationals. Among his wrestling accomplishments, Tristen is also an ROTC student at UNF. He is an Army ten miler finisher as well as a national guard service member
