✨ Learn to Dance is an 8-week beginner experience designed to teach you the fundamentals of social dancing in a fun, relaxed and encouraging environment.
In addition to the essential elements of movement and dance, you'll learn two of the most versatile social dances:
💃 American Rumba
🕺 Disco/Hustle

Plus the skills that actually make social dancing work—rhythm, timing, connection, leading, following, turns and confidence on the dance floor.

No experience necessary. No partner required.

We are SO proud of all of our dancers who stepped onto the competition floor and gave it their all! Seeing the hard work, dedication, courage, and growth from each of you was truly incredible. ❤️

Elizabeth scored a 98 on her Open Silver show routine!

The Ladies routine scored a 98.6 for Silver show routine and was also awarded top formation trophy!

And a huge THANK YOU to our support team: Suzie, Kelly, Carol, Kimberly, Hugh, Stephanie, Mark, Monica and Donna who came out to cheer on our dancers and show your support. Having our In Motion family there made the experience even more special! 🥰

One of the wonderful things about ballroom dancing is that there is no expiration date on learning and reaping the benefits.

You can start dancing in your 30s, 50s, 70s, 80s—or beyond. Your goals may simply look different depending on where you are in life.

Maybe you want to learn to dance socially at parties. Maybe you want to feel comfortable on the dance floor on a cruise. Maybe you’re preparing for a wedding. Maybe you want a fun activity that keeps you moving and challenges your brain.

You don’t have to become a competitive dancer to get something meaningful from ballroom dancing!

Thinking about trying a ballroom competition? This might be your sign!
Encore Dancesport Competition is coming to West Palm Beach on September 20th, and it’s a great opportunity to experience what a ballroom competition is all about -whether you’re an experienced competitor or have never danced at one before.

Competing gives you a chance to:
✨ Set a goal and work toward it
✨ Get feedback from esteemed judges
✨ See how your dancing compares in a real competition setting
✨ Build confidence on the floor
✨ Meet other dancers and be part of the ballroom community
✨ And, of course, dress up and have some fun!
You don't have to be “competition-level” to compete, there are categories for all ages and experience levels! In fact, one of the best parts of competing is seeing how much you can grow when you give yourself something specific to work toward.
Not sure if competing is for you? Come watch! Seeing the energy in the ballroom can be the perfect way to get a feel for it before deciding to step onto the floor yourself.

This is another very common fear—and one of the biggest reasons people put off taking their first lesson.

But remember: everyone starts somewhere.

Your first lesson isn’t an audition. Nobody expects you to walk in looking like a professional dancer. You may step on the wrong foot, forget a step, laugh at yourself, or accidentally turn the wrong direction.

That’s completely normal.

And honestly, some of the funniest moments in dance happen when you’re learning something new. A good instructor will create an environment where you can relax, make mistakes, and enjoy the process.

YES, YOU CAN DANCE! IS BACK!

We’re thrilled to announce that Yes, You Can Dance! will be returning to In Motion Ballroom starting October 8th! 🎉

This special program gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to experience the joy of ballroom dancing in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.

📅 Thursdays, Starting October 8th – April
⏰ 4:00–4:45 PM
📍 In Motion Ballroom

Our volunteer partners help make the class possible by dancing alongside our students, encouraging them, and, most importantly, having FUN together! You don’t have to be an experienced dancer. A positive attitude and willingness to participate are all you need.

🌟 And there’s something extra special this year!
At the end of the program, our dancers will have their very own party and showcase, where they’ll get to show their families everything they’ve learned throughout the year. We can’t wait to celebrate them!
