But tucked inside Valencia Cathedral in Spain is a chalice known as the Santo Cáliz, believed by many to be the cup Jesus used at the Last Supper.

While no one can prove it with absolute certainty, historians believe the agate cup dates back to the 1st century BC–1st century AD. Tradition says it was taken from Jerusalem to Rome, protected by early Christians during persecution, and eventually brought to Spain, where it has been preserved for centuries.

Even the Vatican has recognized its significance. Several popes, including St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, have celebrated Mass using the Santo Cáliz.
