Perfect buoyancy is the number one skill that separates beginners from pros. In this class, you will master your trim, fine-tune your weighting, and learn advanced kicking techniques that will completely transform your diving.

Classroom & Pool Session: September 14, 6pm-10pm (at Ski/Scuba Center); Open Water Dives: September 20, 11am-2pm (at Loch Low-Minn Quarry)

A massive congratulations to our newest Sea Cadet divers! ⚓️

This past weekend, we had the honor of hosting and training an incredible group of young leaders from the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. We had Cadets ages 11 to 16 showing incredible focus, teamwork, and maturity beyond their years along with coast-to-coast representation, with Cadets traveling all the way from Massachusetts to California to train with us!

It was a monumental weekend at the shop and in the water:

- 36 Cadets successfully earned their Open Water Diver certifications!

- 5 Cadets pushed their limits to earn their Advanced Open Water certifications!

What is the Sea Cadet program?

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a premier, Navy-sponsored youth leadership development program. It builds marvelously resilient citizens by teaching teamwork, discipline, maritime skills, and leadership through real-world naval and adventure training.

An undertaking of this size truly required all hands on deck. A massive thank you to the entire Ski Scuba Center crew—our tireless instructors, dedicated assistants, and shop staff—who worked around the clock to keep training safe, smooth, and unforgettable.

Bravo Zulu, cadets! Your next underwater mission awaits.

Congratulations to our Scuba Camp kids (ages 10-12) who achieved their Jr. Open Water Scuba Certifications earlier this month!

They now have a lifetime of Scuba adventures ahead of them!

In observance of the 4th of July, we will close at 3:00pm on Friday and will be closed on Saturday, July 4th. We will resume normal hours on Monday (10:00am - 6:00pm).

We wish our fellow divers, customers, partners, and community a safe and meaningful Independence Day as we celebrate 250 years of freedom and unity together. 🇺🇸Enjoy the festivities!

Here's what’s coming up as we get ready for the spring season:

Prehistoric Spring Dive Trip: Join us April 17–19, 2026, as we head to Florida’s iconic sites like Blue Grotto and Devil's Den.

Spring Certification Classes: We have classes coming up for Open Water, Stress & Rescue, and Advanced Open Water. Check out our calendar: https://skiscuba.com/calendar/

Tropical Adventures: We still have a one spot left for our Cayman Brac trip (April 25 – May 2) and several spots for our Belize trip (June 20–27).

Check-Out Dives: Open water training dives at the quarry are set to restart the weekend of May 30–31. We look forward to seeing our students at all levels back in the water.

Sunday Funday: Join us for our first Sunday Funday on May 31st at Loch Low-Minn Quarry in Athens, TN. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow divers in a relaxed, non-class environment.
