We have been BUSY recently! First getting ready for as part of Boise's 4th of July parade, then today we were the opening performance for the Vietnamese culture festival in Julius kleiner Park! I give a lot of credit to my students, who worked hard and stepped up to make these performances look amazing! The crowd ate it up, we had a great time, and we had many people come find us after to say how great we did... Awesome! We'll keep practicing, but now we'll have a greater focus on curriculum for a few weeks 😁 gotta after all!

So, today's Sunday, and apparently it's the day I also took my water-filled heavy bag off the hinges, so to speak.
This is not some kind of brag about power; I didn't break it, and I can set it back on with a little effort and help (because it's heavy!)... No, this is a post about consistency. Because this bag was held up by a big bolt with two nuts butted up against each other, and I've officially punched this thing enough for those nuts to slowly work themselves up a few inches of bolt and come off mid-round.
Hard work creates growth, but consistency allows for transformation; both, both is good 😜

Hey folks, a little more playing around... Some variations that get the hands and feet to work together, a little reminiscent of one of the forms, for some reason 😉 of course these bars are ten pounds each, which start to make a difference when you go up and down the floor a few times with each variation 🤣 anyway, have fun with your training, keep it fresh and exciting, and

I was recently gifted this hand-painted mural by a local retiree, someone with a huge love for Kung Fu... Not the same style, exactly, but close enough that we could talk for a while and be on the same page. Even looking around his apartment was great, he had collections of weapons, photos, and training tools that showed a dedication outstripping most people decades younger! So thank you, Donald, for your contribution to our school, and may your love for Kung Fu live with us too.

Hey folks! I said I'd start a new series of classes soon - and the first flyer is ready so here it goes!
I'll be starting a series of advanced qigong class in cycles, starting in April... These classes won't be inaccessible to beginners, they'll still get quite a bit of benefit, but if someone DOES have experience in similar skills they won't be bored, and should find quite a bit of benefit.
Look forward to announcements about the other classes in the very near future, but for now here's hoping this class gets packed! Y'all know how great this material is, I just want to help others get some of it too 😁

Morning all! Hope you've all had a good start to your day and week... I had a decent start today! Got up, ran my morning Kung Fit class, did my own wire training, and then I had company during my sitting exercises/cooldown 😜 here's to the test of the week going this well!
