Nothing like taking a break on a hot summer day by snapping beans on the porch.

Infused some local bought beef tallow with lavender I had drying out for several weeks. Dabbling in recipes and this is what I came up with! Let me know if you try it out or how you’ve been using your dried lavender🪻

Lavender Tallow Moisturizer 🌱🐝🪻

Ingredients:

* 1 cup lavender-infused beef tallow
* 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets
* 1 tablespoon castor oil
* 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
* 10 (ish) drops lavender essential oil (optional for stronger lavender scent)
* 5 (ish) drops grapefruit essential oil (optional, I just wanted some fresh citrus smell)

Instructions

1. Melt the lavender-infused tallow and beeswax together in a double boiler over low heat. (I used my mini crockpot on low setting until melted)
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the castor oil and vitamin E oil.
3. Allow the mixture to cool for 5–10 minutes until it’s warm but no longer hot.
4. Stir in essential oils, if using.
5. Pour into clean glass jars or tins.
6. Let cool completely before putting the lids on.
