Thanks to the following companies and individuals who have made generous donations in support of our Youth Scholarship Program. This allows us to introduce the woodturning hobby to a new generation of turners who will carry on the art.

One of the most critical challenges facing woodturning today is cultivating the next generation of turners. Teaching and inspiring turners of all ages is a fundamental part of our symposium, and the Youth Scholarship Program is a key part of that mission.

We are incredibly grateful to the companies that have donated items for this year’s raffle. The raffle is our primary source of funding for the Youth Scholarship Program, and by buying raffle tickets for a chance to win these generous donations, you become an active participant in helping shape the future of woodturning.

We're ready for the Mid Atlantic Woodturners Symposium in Lancaster starting next Friday. Still not signed up? Online registration has closed, but in-person signup is available at the door. Information is available at www.mawts.com. We'd love to have you join us!

The s Symposium is only a week away, so it's time to get your Instant Gallery pieces together. Each attendee is encouraged to bring up to three items. There have been a lot of amazing pieces displayed over the years, and 2026 will certainly see more great items.

Raffle Items Include 'A Day With Your Favorite Artist’

As in past years, we are very pleased to announce that three of our favorite artists will be providing A Day in the Studio with them. Carol Vander Dussen Hall, Michael Kehs and Danielle Barbour

This is an excellent opportunity to sharpen your skills with one (or all!) of these talented folks. As the saying goes, 'You have to play to win!". Tickets will be available at the Registration Desk, in the Instant Gallery Area, and from folks 'working the crowd' from Friday arrival through the drawing time late Saturday afternoon.

Online Registration for the Mid Atlantic Woodturners Symposium Ends Soon

Online registration for the Mid Atlantic Woodturners Association ends on Friday, 9/18 at 5:00 pm.

The Symposium will be held at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center located at 2300 Lincoln Highway, Lancaster PA from Friday, 9/25/26 through Sunday, 9/27/26.

The Symposium offers demonstrations by seven professional woodturners, an Instant Gallery, Raffle, Hands-On Area, Vendor Area, Silent Auction, and more! Don't miss out on this very popular event.

Registration is $225.00 for the entire event, including lunch on Sunday. On-site registration is available as well.

Learn Dry Brushing Techniques at the Hands-On Session at the Mid Atlantic Woodturners Symposium

One of several events being offered during the Hands-On session of the Midatlantic Woodturners Symposium will be by Carol Hall, one of our favorite artists.

Join Carol during the interval between demonstrations 4 and 5 on Saturday in the Hands On Area. She will be teaching Dry Brushing.

Attendees will have an Ash board that has been fire-sanded and scrubbed and sealed and ready to paint. There will be stations for 10 people to practice this fun method to embellish their work.

Carol's sessions have always been popular at the Symposium, and you are sure to enjoy this one as well.
