Players of the Week — Two Weeks of Standout Performances!

We’re catching up on two weeks of DVHL/MAHA Players of the Week, and there were plenty of performances worth celebrating! From first goals and hat tricks to overtime winners, blocked shots, big defensive efforts, and players making an impact all over the ice, these athletes stepped up for their teams. 🔥👏

Congratulations to this group:

10U A American — Graeson Shistle | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Graeson scored his first goal of the season in dramatic fashion, converting a last-second breakaway in the first period for the game-winning goal against Central Penn!

10U B — Ryan Stearns | Huntsmen
Ryan exploded for 5 goals and 1 assist over two games, including a four-goal performance against the Quakers before adding a goal and an assist against Chester County.

12U B — Frankie Bohenick | Delaware Jr. Blue Hens
Frankie made an impact everywhere against the Quakers, leading his team in blocked shots while also finding the back of the net three times for a terrific two-way performance.

12U A American — Daniel Wizda III | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Daniel was all over the ice in the Jr. Pens’ DVHL opener against Central Penn. His relentless effort and ability to find the right spots paid off with a hat trick to help lead his team to victory!

14U B — Brendan Reynolds | Central Penn Panthers
Talk about clutch! Brendan buried the overtime game-winner with just 23 seconds remaining, giving the Panthers their first victory of the season against the Hatfield Ice Hawks.

14U AA — Dayne Wadas | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Dayne opened the season with a huge four-goal performance against Central Penn. Just as impressive was his work away from the puck, contributing at both ends of the ice and helping the Jr. Pens earn their first win.

14U A National — Luke Fauerbach | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Luke brought the energy from start to finish against Hershey, battling for every puck, bringing a physical presence, and scoring a first-period goal as part of a strong all-around effort.

16U AA — Alex Petras | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Alex started DVHL play in style, recording a hat trick against the Jr. Blue Hens to help lead the Jr. Pens to victory. His work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first approach continue to stand out.

16U AA — Luke Petrick | Wilkes Barre Jr. Pens
Luke turned in an outstanding two-way weekend, playing strong defense while also contributing two beautiful assists in Sunday’s victory.

Today, the Central Penn Panthers join our nation in solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the victims, their families, the courageous first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

We remember their strength. We honor their sacrifice. We will never forget.

🏒 DVHL SEASON PREVIEW: CENTRAL PENN PANTHERS

The 2026–27 DVHL Season Preview Series begins with a look at the Central Penn Panthers!

With 14 teams spanning every age division from 8U through 18U and more than 220 members wearing the Panthers colors, Central Penn enters the new season focused on continued growth, development, competition, and a culture built around doing things the right way.

“Our goal has never simply been to build more teams. It’s to build better hockey players, better teammates, and better young people.”

From a deep coaching staff and competitive teams to a strong sense of family throughout the organization, the Panthers are ready to raise the standard again in 2026–27.

🏒 DAY TWO — AND THAT’S A WRAP ON OPENING WEEKEND! 🏒

What a weekend of Panthers hockey! Day Two brought another full slate of great games, big efforts, and plenty of excitement at Regency!

10U A National got the day rolling with a great performance, earning a win over Chester County.

12U AA followed it up with an outstanding team effort and a win over the Tri-City Eagles.

14U AA battled from start to finish, turning in a great effort in a tough loss to a strong Tri-City Eagles team.

16U AA came out flying and cruised to an overpowering win over Frederick, putting together a strong performance from start to finish.

And in the weekend finale, 18U AA battled the York Devils. It was a hard-fought game that went down to the wire, with the Panthers coming up just short in a one-goal battle.

Two days. A whole lot of hockey. Great crowds, great competition, and plenty of Panther pride throughout the rink.

If Opening Weekend is any indication of what the 2026–27 season has in store, we are in for a treat!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our players, coaches, families, volunteers, opponents, officials, supporters, and everyone who helped make the weekend such a success.

🏒 DAY ONE IS IN THE BOOKS! 🏒

What a way to kick off Panthers Opening Weekend! From the first puck drop to the final horn, Regency was filled with great hockey, great energy, and plenty of Panther pride!

Our Mites got things started by hosting the Reading Jr. Royals in a spirited, fun matchup that was a great showcase for our youngest players.

The 10U B Panthers battled hard against a strong York Devils team, while 10U A American played a terrific game against Hershey, coming up just short in a one-goal decision.

12U A American put together a great team effort and picked up a win over the Tri-City Eagles!

The 14U B Panthers followed with one of the most entertaining games of the entire day—a true back-and-forth battle with the JS Wildcats that went right down to the end.

16U A American** turned in a strong performance and earned a big win over Chester County!

And to close out Day One, 18U A went toe-to-toe with Team Philly in a hard-fought battle, ultimately falling 2–1.

Wins, losses, close games, big plays, and a whole lot of good hockey. Most importantly, it was a great day at the rink with our Panther families, friends, and hockey community.

Day One was a blast—and we're not done yet!

Tomorrow we’re back at it with another full slate of Panthers hockey, starting at 8:45 a.m. with 10U A National and capped off by the 18U AA whiteout game at 3:30 p.m. 🤍🏒
