Cyclones at MISCA Race #4 at Owasippe

09/20/2026

Congratulations to Lorelai on her first podium finish! Fourth place at the fourth race of the season at Owasippe. Great rides by the Cyclones today; a rainy mid-September weekend is definitely the right time to get the most out of this course.

Race #3! After a break for the holiday weekend, we went back to the east side of the state to Addison Oaks in the northern Detroit suburbs last weekend. It is a very fast race course that makes Coach Andy feel like he brought the wrong bike, no matter which bike he brings. It didn't phase our riders, who put up some excellent performances on Saturday and Sunday, including two sixth place finishes on Saturday and some consistent and improved finishes on Sunday.

We head to the west side and the dunes and lakes at Owasippe scout reservation near Muskegon this weekend. I am not sure whether to bring beach towels, umbrellas, or a fire pit but we'll have fun!

MISCA Race 2 MS/HS Merrell Trail Lansing Cyclones

08/31/2026

After a rainy night, we started our MS/HS race day with a one hour delay due to rain and lightning. Luckily, the storms moved on and it was safe to race after a reroute on the advanced course. Unsurprisingly, the rain overnight and this morning did make for a pretty muddy race, but all of our racers who rode completed it safely. Riders from our first season did great for their first race this year!
