Our pathway to the Little League World Series (LLWS) came to an end Saturday night in Baxter Springs after dropping two 1-run games (1-2 & 2-3) at the KS Little League State Championship to the Pittsburg All-Stars. Our team played hard and the games were full of heroics, especially by our solid pitching and timely hitting, but the ball bounced a couple more times Pittsburg's direction and that was the difference.
We tip our hat to Pittsburg and turn our Kansas pride and support to them as they take on Wisconsin in Regional Competition next. Go get em' fellas.
Throughout our tournaments together, opposing coaches, parents, tournament directors, and even members of the grounds crew took time to call out our players’ sportsmanship, respect, positive attitudes and the way they competed. Those compliments weren't prompted; they came from people who simply interacted with our Navy AND Red teams and felt compelled to share what they witnessed. Our players and coaches represented 3&2, their families, and our community with humility, class, sportsmanship, and pride. We are all incredibly proud of that.
We will re-group in 2027 with our next class of 11U/12U talent and be ready to compete again for a chance at a District, State, Regional, and LLWS run. Congratulations once again class of '26 on an unforgettable season as District 3-Kansas Champions, Missouri/Kansas Showcase Champions, and Kansas State Runners-Up. Great run coaches and players! You forged the first pathway for 3&2 towards the LLWS that will be built upon in years to come.

The Sunday of MOKAN State there was a lot of celebrate. On Field 12 at 3&2, Luke Haussmann of the Blue Springs Raptors delivered the swing he’ll remember forever — his first career home run. Luke sent it sailing way over the fence and took the easy way around the bases...a homerun trot! Way to go Luke!

3&2 would like to congratulate Sergio Rodriguez who launched his first career home run on Field 4 during one of his final 3&2 League Night games. Sergio blasted a shot for the Fireballs that lit up the evening! Hope you had a great season Sergio capping it off by this big blast! See you in the fall or next season at 3&2.

3&2 would like to congratulate Vinny Parenza who delivered a two‑home‑run night for the Mud Dawgs, showing off every bit of his range at the plate. He opened the night by driving a shot to left field. Later, he stepped back in and launched his second of the game to straightaway center, capping a huge performance on hot July league night. Congratulations Vinny!

3&2 is honored to announce Shawnee, KS native, 3&2 alumni, and now Kansas Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year, Beau Peterson has directed and selected his home ballpark, 3&2 Baseball, to receive a $1,000 grant from Gatorade. This generous donation will help 3&2 accomplish its mission of creating generations of memories through youth baseball.
The Gatorade Player of the Year award highlights student-athletes who set an example both on and off the field. The grants give athletes like Beau a chance to donate to organizations like 3&2 that strive to positively impact the youth in our community through our sport.
Beau has great memories at 3&2, starting with his go to post-game treat as a young player a cherry Icee! Beau hit his first homerun on one of our machine pitch fields and played at the park either in league or later in his career in high school and big showcase tournaments every summer. Beau vividly remembers facing 2026 1st Round Pick Gio Rojas here at 3&2 and despite getting the best of him at the plate that day, triggering a switch inside that’s motivated him since to put the work in so he can play the game at the highest level.
Beau feels like he’s always hit his best at 3&2 from his early youth days to his standout out prep career at Mill Valley Highschool and his summer teams. Peterson will leave Kansas as one of the most decorated players in the state. A two-time Sports in Kansas 6A Player of the Year, the 2026 all classes POY, and now the Gatorade POY honor, he capped his senior season by leading Mill Valley to a 24-5 record while hitting .535 with 46 hits, 19 doubles, three home runs, 36 RBI, 37 runs scored and 22 walks. All agree, just a “dawg” at the plate that bites with defensive range and a big arm that touches 95 MPH across the diamond from short or the bump.
We know one thing about the next chapter in Beau’s career, it will be written in Texas, either at the University of TX, where Beau signed to play college ball or with the Houston Astros who drafted him in the 4th round.
We are incredibly grateful for Beau’s generosity and support, and we hope that no matter how far the game takes him, he’ll always find his way back to 3&2. We’ll keep those Icees cold and French Fries hot for Beau and all our alumni who come back and see us and support the next generation.
