Deer are often more active around dawn and dusk, so keep an eye on the roadsides and slow down if you spot one. Where there’s one deer, there may be others nearby.

Use your high beams when appropriate to help improve visibility, and if a deer enters your path, brake firmly and stay in your lane rather than swerving.

A little extra attention can go a long way toward keeping everyone safer on the road this season. 🚗🍂

🏕️If you needed to leave home quickly, would you have the essentials ready to go? 🎒

Putting together a basic emergency kit ahead of time is one simple way to help your household prepare for the unexpected.

Include essentials like water, nonperishable food, first-aid supplies, a flashlight and batteries, medications, important documents, a portable phone charger, and a battery-powered radio. And if you have pets, make sure you have food and other supplies ready for them too! 🐾

Keep your kit somewhere easy to grab and check it periodically to make sure everything is still up to date.
