Southwest Builds is here! 🔨

We’re excited to launch our newest youth membership class at SWCC! Southwest Builds gives ages 13+ the chance to learn basic building, construction, and problem-solving skills through fun, guided projects.

And as the program grows, so will the impact. Participants will have opportunities to put their skills to work helping add, repair, and restore neighborhood amenities throughout Southwest Little Rock. 🛠️

We’re excited to welcome Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. as our inaugural guest for Coffee + Conversation on September 12!

Coffee + Conversation is a new program at Southwest Community Center created to bring our community together through informal conversations, meaningful connections, and shared moments.

A native of Southwest Little Rock, Mayor Scott has deep roots in the community and continues to pour into the people and neighborhoods that helped shape his story. As Little Rock’s first popularly elected African American mayor, he has championed job growth and economic development during his administration.

We’re proud to welcome Mayor Scott as we launch this new community tradition and look forward to a morning of connection and conversation.

Registration is OPEN for boys and girls in 4th–7th grade.

Players will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball, develop their skills, and be part of a team in their community.

Today we’re giving a big shoutout to our awesome SWCC lifeguards! Their hard work, dedication, and watchful eyes help create a safe, fun, and welcoming place for everyone who visits our pool.

Whether they’re keeping swimmers safe, helping little ones build confidence in the water, or bringing great energy to every shift, these lifeguards and pool staff are an important part of what makes our summers here so special.

If you’ve seen one of our lifeguards go above and beyond this summer, help us celebrate them by dropping a thank you in the comments!

SWCC’s STAR Student Afterschool Program is the perfect place for kids to learn, play, and grow after the school day ends. From daily afterschool meals and homework assistance to recreation activities, exciting projects, outdoor fun, and field trips, there’s something for every STAR!

We’re looking for artists, makers, creative businesses, and vendors to sell their artwork and handmade creations at the festival. If you’re interested in hosting an art demonstration, hands on activity, or interactive experience, we’d love to have you be part of the event too!
