🐝 The Southwest Hive Bee Club got an up-close look inside the hive at this month’s meeting! Participants explored the hive and learned how to identify the three types of bees: queen, worker, and drone. There’s always something new to discover in the world of bees! 🍯

🌳 OAKtober is underway!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this past weekend as we kicked off OAKtober and celebrated the mighty oak! 🍂

OAKtober is a nationwide celebration recognizing oak trees and the important role they play in our communities. Oaks provide shade, support wildlife, improve our environment, and have been a part of our landscapes and neighborhoods for generations.

And the Southwest Park Tree Trail is back! 🌳 We’ve added brand-new signs along the trail, making it a great way to get outside, take a walk, and learn a little more about the trees around us.

Come check it out on your next neighborhood walk, and celebrate the mighty oak with us all month long! 🍁
