🏃♂️ MOVEMENT MATTERS
Today at J.A. Fair, we taught one of the most important athletic movements in football—the crossover step.
Using SKLZ hurdles, our athletes learned how to drive the knee up and punch it across the body while keeping their shoulders square and allowing the hips to rotate. This teaches athletes how to efficiently transition into a crossover run without wasting movement.
Why is this important for football players?
✅ Defensive backs use it to transition from a backpedal into a sprint.
✅ Linebackers use it to scrape over the top and pursue the football.
✅ Running backs use it to change direction and hit cutback lanes.
✅ Wide receivers use it to create separation and accelerate into routes.
✅ Every position benefits from improved acceleration, body control, and change of direction.
The fastest athletes aren’t always the ones with the best 40-yard dash times—they’re the ones who can move efficiently in every direction.
At J.A. Fair, we’re building athletes who move better, react faster, and play faster.
