🦅 EAGLES SWEEP THE BLUE JAYS! 🦅

What a day for the Livonia Eagles!
Our football teams completed a clean sweep against the Blue Jays, going 4-0 on the day!

From the youngest athletes to the oldest, our players competed with heart, discipline, and determination. We could not be more proud of the effort shown by every team.

As the day went on, you may have noticed a number of older faces standing on the sidelines. Some of you may have wondered who they were.

Those young men are former Eagles.

Today they play high school football for Franklin, Stevenson, and several other area schools. They no longer wear the black and gray on game day, but they came back anyway. Why?
Because once you're an Eagle, you're always an Eagle.

They came back to support the next generation, reconnect with former teammates and coaches, and remind our current players what this program is all about. What you see in this photo is something bigger than wins and losses. It's proof that we are building something special.
We are building a culture.

A culture where athletes want to come back long after their youth football days are over. A culture of family, pride, accountability, and tradition. A culture where the relationships formed on these fields last well beyond the final whistle.

Today's 4-0 sweep was a great accomplishment, but seeing former Eagles return to cheer on the program they grew up in may have been the biggest victory of all.

Thank you to all of our current players, coaches, families, and Eagle alumni for continuing to make this organization special.

Once an Eagle. Always an Eagle. 🖤🩶🦅

🔥 THIS WEEK IS A RIVALRY WEEK! 🔥

And Livonia has some BIG ones.

🦅 YOUTH FOOTBALL
Livonia Eagles vs. Livonia Bluejays
The longest-running and oldest rivalry in Livonia, dating all the way back to 1958.

🏈 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
Livonia Franklin vs. Livonia Stevenson
A rivalry that dates back to 1965.

And this rivalry means a little more because of the connections behind it. Many of the players who come through the Livonia Eagles and Bluejays programs eventually become teammates at Franklin. At the same time, the majority of our Eagles players go on to play at both Franklin and Stevenson, so when these teams meet, there are a lot of familiar faces on both sides — kids who have grown up together, played together, and competed against each other for years.

That makes this more than just another game. It’s a Livonia rivalry, and it’s one that runs deep. 🏈🔥

Different fields. Different levels. Same city.

SAME TOWN. SAME PRIDE. TWO RIVALRIES.

Let’s get after it, Eagles. 🦅
