One of our own needs our help!

While Samir Alnasir was refereeing a soccer game, he was hit in the back of the head by a soccer ball and lost consciousness. He was taken to DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, where they performed X-rays, a CT scan, and MRIs. Unfortunately, they found a broken bone in his neck/spine along with bleeding, and his injuries were serious enough that he had to undergo surgery.

He’s still recovering and dealing with a lot of pain. The doctors have told us that he likely won’t be able to return to refereeing or his normal activities for about 6 to 8 months, depending on how his recovery goes. They’ll reevaluate him in a few months to see how well he’s healing and whether any additional surgery will be necessary.

This has been an extremely difficult time for Samir and his family. He’s unable to work right now, and he is also dealing with medical bills and insurance issues. The family is taking everything one day at a time and hoping his recovery continues to move in the right direction.

The family has asked if the MUSL family could share the GoFundMe page so it gets more exposure. Samir has been a staple in the SE Michigan soccer community for a long time - so the outreach will be massive.

Please continue to keep Samir in your thoughts and prayers. His family truly appreciates everyone in this time of need.

MUSL NIGHT at DCFC has been a huge success for the past four years! As the second largest adult soccer league in the country, the MUSL is always on the forefront of all things soccer in Michigan, so DCFC loves it when we show up! DCFC games almost always sell out, so you need to take advantage of the discounted tickets before it's too late!

FAQs & Parking info
Do you have parking directions I can share with our guests?
DCFC suggests free parking on residential streets or the Hamtramck Shopping Center. There are lots that you can pay for if interested. As long as you are early there is plenty residential parking + the Hamtramck Shopping center ( Address: 9101 Joseph Campau Ave, Hamtramck, MI 48212) address is to Detroit Donut but many businesses share this parking lot & this is where a majority of our fans park before the match.

Is there only one gate to enter through or are you able to provide more instructions on where we should enter?
Most people use gate 2 off Roosevelt Street

Are there major restrictions on what we can bring in? Size or purses? Can we bring blankets for the kids?

No restrictions on bag size, no drinks or food can enter & bags are permitted but subjected to a search!

Keyworth Stadium offers a range of new, diverse, and delicious options from food truck partners such as Amici’s Pizza, Balkan House, Baobab Fare, Srodek’s, and the City Clubhouse on our Main Concourse, and other food options in between the supporter section and VIP, as well as Clubhouse offerings out of the West Grand Bar. Sip some beers from Stroh’s, Old Nation, and Austin Brothers; have a cocktail from Detroit City Distillery or a shot of Tullamore Dew; or enjoy n/a offerings from Faygo and B. Nektar.

MARCH TO THE MATCH:
This is one of the more unique experiences with sports in the country, our fans take part in a March to the Match where they bang drums, chant, march, & show passion for DCFC by singing through the streets of Hamtramck to Keyworth Stadium.
