San Pedro Aces Volleyball

Family and friends,

It’s been a tough few weeks. Dad and Shirley came to Los Angeles to visit. On the very first day I was supposed to spend time with them, I got a phone call asking me to pick Dad up and take him to the ER.

Within a few hours, we received the devastating news that Dad has acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

He was initially planning to begin treatment in Los Angeles, but since he was stable, we all felt it would be best for him to return to Maryland. Thankfully, he’s now under the care of the incredible team at Johns Hopkins, which has one of the nation’s leading leukemia treatment programs.

Dad is scheduled to begin treatment on Monday.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he begins this fight. Our family truly appreciates all the love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.

What an amazing first day of Summer League! ☀️🏐

It was so great seeing some of our club players back in the gym, meeting new teammates, and welcoming some familiar faces as well. We’re so excited for what this league has in store and can’t wait to see everyone show up!

A huge shoutout to all of the girls they did an incredible job today! We’re looking forward to an awesome summer of learning, growing, and having fun together!

SUMMER LEAGUE EVALUATIONS!

Congratulations to our Aces Black team! We are so proud of them! The girls came out strong and earned a great first match victory in the gold bracket before falling short in their second match while fighting for a spot in the semifinals.

While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, these athletes showed determination, teamwork, and heart throughout the tournament. Every match is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get better, and this team continues to do just that.

Keep working hard and believing in yourselves! we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Great job, girls!

Congratulations to our Aces Gold team! Coming in second place! Way to play hard throughout the day and earn your spot in the championship match. While the final match didn’t go the way we hoped, we are proud of the effort, determination, and resilience showed to get there. Great job, girls!!!

Huge Congratulations to our Aces White team. Aces White took 1ST place today out of 15 teams at Forza 1 North AVL Championship! We played some pretty good club teams who compete in the SCSN.
Coach Theresa & Coach Maya are so proud that we created the San Pedro aces to give girls the opportunity to play volleyball year-round!!! Great job girls!!!
