Interesting in finding out what rowing is all about? Learn the basics of rowing from experienced coaches!

SLRC is hosting 4 FREE workshops for adults this fall!

This workshop will begin with a brief history, tour and discussion of rowing terminology, technique, and safety. The class will start on the rowing machine indoors. We will take you through all the basics of sweep rowing: the rowing stroke, the equipment, technique and safety, both on land and on the water (dock rowing).

Choose a date that works for you.

August 29th: 5:00 – 8:00 pm

September 5th: 4:30 – 7:30 pm

September 19th: 4:30 – 7:30 pm

October 24th: 2:00 – 5:30pm

Ages 13-17, no experience necessary

Rowfest looked a little different this year, with 2 and a half days of racing cancelled due to poor air quality and high winds. However, we made the most of it when we could! We're very proud of our Masters rowers who persevered and represented St. Louis Rowing Club well.

The St. Louis Rowing Club offers Learn to Row Summer Camps for ages 11-17 in June, July, and August. The camps are ten sessions over a two-week period that cover the fundamentals of rowing. No experience is necessary, but swimming skills are a must. We start our learning on the indoor rowing machine, and then progress onto the water. While attending a summer camp is not a requirement, it can increase the likelihood of success at tryouts for our Novice team.

Camp 1: Already completed!

Camp 2*: June 29-July 10, 9:30-11:00 am (in session)

Camp 3* (sections A & B**): July 20-July 31, 8:00-10:00 am

*Camp 2 and Camp 3A are NOT continuations of the previous camps.
**Camp 3A is for kids with no prior rowing experience, and Camp 3B is for kids with at least 2 weeks of experience.

What a great start to the season for our Masters!! Indy Summer Sprints 2026 was a great success with exhilarating racing, team camaraderie, wins, and beautiful weather for race day.
