Show recap!!
We took a small group of riders to the AYDC show at the Conyers horse park over the weekend and I’m so proud of how everyone did.
Alexa and Olson tackled their second CT together, finishing on their dressage score in the amoeba division in 6th place.
Ava and Sunny also finished on their dressage score in the starter division in 4th place. This was Ava’s first time riding at the level!
Abbi and Flame put in two quick, clear rounds at 2’3 and 2’6, finishing 1st and 2nd.
Proud of my team and thankful for all of the wonderful friends and family who come out to support us. On to the next!

The new trails are OPEN!!! We are so lucky to have an adjoining 50 acres full of trails to ride on in addition to all the other amenities we offer. So what are you waiting for? Grab a friend and go hit the trails!

Interested in all Kelleytown has to offer but aren’t a boarder? Membership opportunities (and XC fences) coming soon!

Boarders and students, please take note!!
(Also, ANY time you use another arena it should be left exactly as you found it, not just this week. 🙂) Thank you!

Proud of all my students today at the BCE schooling show! It was a long, hot day but everyone rode well, learned from their mistakes and remembered to pat their ponies.
🟠 Annabelle and Jade teamed up for their first show together. A premature exit from the dressage arena led to an unfortunate elimination, but they went on to have two beautiful, clear jump rounds.
🟠 Ava and Sunny had a dressage score of 36 followed by a clear jump round to finish 4th in the amoeba CT.
🟠 Alexa and Thor completed their first CT together with a 35 in dressage (including an 8 for his medium walk!) and a clear jump round, finishing 2nd in the pre-amoeba CT. They added an amoeba jump round and went clear, also earning 2nd place.
🟠 Elena and Dakkar did their first dressage test together, earning a 59% in Intro B. Dakkar can be a very tricky horse to ride and I was so proud of the way Elena handled his nerves.
As always, grateful to be the coach of 🧡

The only way Mondays are a drag around here! 🤩 We have converted our jump poles into a dressage arena and are ready to use our lessons this week to practice our tests in preparation for the Big Cheese show this weekend!

Almost everyone who comes to our farm says the same thing: “I love the vibe here.”

We’ve worked hard to make this a peaceful, supportive, and inclusive place for both horses and their people. Come visit and see why folks tend to linger after lessons or spend time here on their days off...maybe som peace and quiet is just what your soul has been aching for.

Beyond proud of Team Orange’s showing today at the second Big Cheese Schooling Show of the year! Coached by Sarah Edwards and supported by our incredible barn family, all of our horse and rider teams gave us clear rounds and earned a spot in the ribbons today.

🔸 Ashley and Al kicked us off with their first ever show together in the groundpole division, earning themselves a third place in each of their rounds.

🔸 Blair and Sunny teamed up to tackle the crossrail division, earning a third, second, and reserve champion spot in the ribbons.

🔸 Next up was Elena and LuLu in the amoeba and puddle classes. Their clear rounds secured 2nd and 6th place ribbons!

🔸 Alexa and Olson kept the clear rounds coming in the puddle and tadpole classes, earning 3rd, 4th, and 5th place.

🔸 Wrapping up Team Orange’s day was a triumphant return to the show ring for Abbi and Flame, who had two clear rounds in the tadpole division and securing 6th place in each.

We are so grateful to Caroline Templeton, , and for continuing to organize and provide a safe and supportive space to give our students the chance to learn how to successfully horse show in a positive and uplifting environment. Thank you to our barn family for supporting our team and helping everyone competing have the best rides possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Major progress in our adult ammy group lesson today! Almost all our students went through the grid this week and worked on their gymnastics, adjustability, straightness, and timing—all crucial pieces for jumping harmoniously with our equine partners. Check out Ashley and Mac going through the grid and making it look easy!

Sunsets at the barn just hit different 🌅 now that the days are getting longer, we have more time to spend with our ponies (and the weather has been so nice lately)!

Do you spend time in the pasture with your horse? What’s your favorite non-riding activity that you do with them? Sound off in the comments and give us some new stuff to try! 🥰🐴

Being an adult amateur rider is really just:
working all day → going to the barn → riding your horse → having one good moment → deciding you’re back on track for greatness

and honestly… that’s enough!

It’s the long days, the small wins, the progress that no one else really sees—but you feel it. Whether you’re taking lessons, getting back into riding, or chasing goals in dressage, jumping, or just trying to feel more consistent in the saddle… it all counts.

That’s what we’re about here at Kelleytown 🐴
