Compass Sports Compass Sports is a ministry of Cool Spring Baptist Church located in Mechanicsville, Virginia Competition will have its place within the program.

The purpose of Compass Sports is to provide a fun and transforming sports experience, through sport specific skill instruction and spiritual character development. Compass Sports exists to provide every participant the opportunity to learn and grow in the sport of their choice and learn and grow as a person spiritually through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Compass Sports is a supervised sports experience that emphasizes first spiritual character development among all its participants. However, it will be under the three-fold purpose of developing skills, spiritual character development and encouraging play. Compass Sports provides a quality sports experience for the whole family. Through the recreation staff and its many volunteers, your experience will:

1. Be organized and structured so that the child’s experience is the focus
2. Gospel-centered in its approach to competition and relationships
3. Safe for participants through regular maintenance of equipment and facilities and volunteer background screenings
4. Participants experience fun and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ while participating in a competitive sports experience. Compass Sports provides a unique sports experience that assists the participant and their family in two areas – spiritual and physical. The learning of sports skills, teaching and reinforcement of Christian values, and having fun are fundamental elements to the program. Compass Sports focuses on the importance of the growth of the child and creating and preserving a Christian environment in which to compete. Compass Sports is sponsored by Cool Spring Recreation & Sports

🏈 **At Compass Sports, we’re building more than athletes—we’re building character!** 💙💚

During our youth flag football practices, players work on **teamwork and fundamentals**, but practice is about more than what happens on the field. Our coaches also lead a weekly devotion, giving players an opportunity to grow in their faith while learning lessons they can carry into everyday life.

🙏 **This week’s devotion: “The Strategy of Patience”**
Our players are learning what **Galatians, James, and Psalms** teach us about patience, perseverance, and trusting God’s timing.

Registration for Compass Sports Fall Basketball closes THIS SUNDAY, September 27.

If you have a boy or girl in Kindergarten–3rd grade, now is the time to get them signed up for a season of basketball, teamwork, fun, and faith.

We had another Saturday full of touchdowns, big plays, teamwork, and lots of smiles!

We had an AMAZING first Saturday of games, and we’re ready to do it all again this weekend! 🙌 Come out, cheer loud, and watch our Compass Sports youth athletes run, play, and score some touchdowns! 🏈💨
