sour.bicycles brought the Mega Mullet: an eye-searing pink, steel full-suspension prototype based on the Double Choc, with a 32-inch front wheel, 29-inch rear wheel and 120 mm of travel at both ends.

Up front, Manitou’s camouflaged prototype 32-inch fork. Out back, a Mara Pro Inline. Together, a suspension package made not to follow the accepted blueprint, but to explore what happens when wheel size, geometry, damping and rider feel are all put back into question.

Maybe brilliant. Maybe nonsense. Most likely, somewhere in between. That’s where development starts. 💯

APER developed Rising Pivot to help the rear wheel move through rough terrain while maintaining traction and momentum. Manitou developed Mezzer to give the rider exceptional control over what happens at the other end of the bicycle.

Both are chasing performance through difficult terrain.

At a show dedicated to bikes built differently, it takes something special to stand apart. At BESPOKED | Europe’s Largest Handmade Bike Show Dresden, KAVENZ Mountainbike did exactly that with its spectacular VHP X, a machine that reflects an enormous amount of thought in every detail.

With a complete Manitou suspension package: Dorado up front, Mara Pro PB at the rear and a Manitou Jack dropper post. We can’t think of many better places for them. 🙌
