Meet Fiona!

Fearlessness personified! There is no hill too steep for her to shred and with the Junit 34 as her trail companion, she knows the trail will be smooth from the instant the bike touches the ground. šŸ’Æ

Built to find out. ⚔
Ā
sour.bicycles brought the Mega Mullet: an eye-searing pink, steel full-suspension prototype based on the Double Choc, with a 32-inch front wheel, 29-inch rear wheel and 120 mm of travel at both ends.
Ā
Up front, Manitou’s camouflaged prototype 32-inch fork. Out back, a Mara Pro Inline. Together, a suspension package made not to follow the accepted blueprint, but to explore what happens when wheel size, geometry, damping and rider feel are all put back into question.
Ā
Maybe brilliant. Maybe nonsense. Most likely, somewhere in between. That’s where development starts. šŸ’Æ
Ā
32ā€ up front. 29ā€ out back. 120 mm of Manitou suspension. The rest? We’re still figuring it out.

Wild by Nature. Engineered for Control. APER brought something wild to the Manitou stand at BESPOKED | Europe’s Largest Handmade Bike Show Dresden. šŸ™Œ
Ā
Aper Bikes KOMPace Meets Manitou
Ā
APER developed Rising Pivot to help the rear wheel move through rough terrain while maintaining traction and momentum. Manitou developed Mezzer to give the rider exceptional control over what happens at the other end of the bicycle.
Ā
Both are chasing performance through difficult terrain.
Both rely on sophisticated engineering rather than simplistic solutions.
Ā
And both recognize that outright stiffness isn’t the objective, softness isn’t the objective and complexity certainly isn’t the objective.
Ā
Control is. 🦾

Kavenz VHP X Meets Manitou at Bespoked Dresden šŸ”„
Ā
At a show dedicated to bikes built differently, it takes something special to stand apart. At BESPOKED | Europe’s Largest Handmade Bike Show Dresden, KAVENZ Mountainbike did exactly that with its spectacular VHP X, a machine that reflects an enormous amount of thought in every detail.
Ā
With a complete Manitou suspension package: Dorado up front, Mara Pro PB at the rear and a Manitou Jack dropper post. We can’t think of many better places for them. šŸ™Œ

Manitou’s Dorado Pro Silver is Available Exclusively on the Nicolai R20 MGU AON Edition | BikeRumor
Ā
ā€Interestingly, the Manitou Dorado may be one of the most ā€œnormalā€ components on that AON DH bike. With its distinctive looks and inverted design, the Dorado still turns heads, especially in flashy silver. The inverted architecture is intended to keep the bushings and seals lubricated to maintain consistent, smooth performance while enhancing fore-aft stiffness and controlled torsional flex.ā€

The trail doesn’t care about the looks of your fork but rather how that fork can interact with the trail’s dynamics. Great suspension is about PHYSICS, NOT FASHION.

It cares whether your front wheel is tracking, your damping is muting inputs, and your fork is recovering fast enough to keep up.

Mezzer was built around that reality, nothing more and nothing less.

Meet Maƫl!
Ā
A rising young rider in the French scene! Calm and composed, he talks on track. No jump is to big, no slope too steep, his confidence is over the roof with the Junit 34, smoothness from the first pedal stroke 🤌

Sour calls it the Mega Mullet. An eye-searing pink, steel, full-suspension prototype based on the Sour Double Choc.

At the front is something equally experimental: Manitou’s camouflaged prototype 32-inch suspension fork. At the rear, a Manitou Mara Pro Inline completes a suspension package built for a bicycle whose geometry, handling and ultimate purpose are still being discovered.

Best described by Sour themselves:
ā€œ32ā€ up front. 29ā€ out back. 120 mm of travel. The rest, we’re still figuring out.ā€

That’s not uncertainty but rather development. ⚔

Alexander Schultz measures his races in days. 🤯
Ā
That is exactly why his experience aboard the Manitou Mattoc Pro is so valuable.
Ā
He has completed everything he put on paper for 2026, with multiple podium finishes along the way: 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo. Sonoran Ultra Endurance Race. True Grit Epic 100. Stagecoach 400. Pinyons and Pines. San Juan Ultracruise. Oregon Timber Trail Race 700.
Ā
Self-supported racing changes the equation. There is no mechanic waiting in the pits. No team truck full of spares. No opportunity to simply swap equipment when something doesn’t feel right.
Ā
Performance isn’t judged by how it feels during the first hour. It’s how it continues to perform after 100, 200 or 400+ miles: Active and supple all the way to the end šŸ’Æ

There’s a noticeable difference when a fork is built with precision instead of noise: Mezzer keeps the ride smooth, the chassis stable, and the tuning useful so the bike feels truly dialed. šŸ”„
Ā
With the Mezzer, the fork disappears under you and the ride takes center stage. 🦾
