We are on the last couple of days of our 6 weeks session. It is so fun seeing the smiles of the parents as they watch their children show off their amazing skills. They say things like "Man, it's been 6 weeks already?", and "she is really gonna miss coming here", and my favorite..."Can we do another two weeks at the end of the summer?".
I am sad to see them wave goodbye and walk through the gate, but I know they are equipped with what they need to survive in and around any body of water.

We have a last minute opening for our 6 week session starting Monday!!
Starts June 15th and goes through July 23rd. The time is 5:20 PM. The baby who was scheduled at that time is having some minor health related issues so we are going to postpone her lessons at this time.

Babies work hard here. I love seeing them happy before lessons. Then doing their job and making their parents so proud!!

These sisters wear stars because they are STARS. They come every year, the last two lessons of my day. Mom and dad want to ensure they maintain and polish their skills. They are safe in the water, learning their strokes and having lots of fun in the pool!
Something secretly special about them is…
After every lesson they give me either a smarties sucker (soooo hard to find) or a roll of smarties (my fave).
A big treat after 12 hours of teaching makes me a happy girl.

She loves giraffes, and swimming, and gooses too. She went from crying and fussing in her lessons to waving at all of her cheerleaders (other families and students by the pool!) and fussing when she has to get OUT of the water. Little Hadley is a fantastic swimmer now!
She can jump in and swim across the pool but she won’t be three until August!!

As a Certified Master Neurodevelopmentalist I have seen and treated many victims of accidental drowning. Witnessing the aftermath of a fatal drowning here in Midland, Texas, I decided to become certified in teaching safety swim lessons for my community. All three of my children went through the program more than 30 years ago. They have always felt confident and competent in any body of water. I was as much a believer then, and I am now that it is the best program to put your children through if you want them to have respect and knowledge of the “Do’s and Don’ts” around and in the water.
