As most of you know, we can be rather nostalgic around here. Many folks have left such a lasting and fond impression upon us to be part of what we have become. I suppose a small number of un-fond ones have as well. One of the most beautiful and kind souls to have touched us lovingly, maybe even the earliest such character was Scott Quinn, the Marlboro Man. This man once used a shopping cart from the old Safeway, across the street from St. Pats, help him get a washing machine up and over the Scott Street bridge with his bicycle. He got his Marlboro bike with Marlboro bucks for those old enough to remember. He never drove and would be seen in warmer months riding everywhere , no hands on the handlebar, smoking a cigarette, shirtless with no body fat to speak of, and the cherry top of this cake were his short shorts. Those runner shorts that show way too much leg. In Scott Quinn's case, just the right amount. RIP Scott, your smile and laugh always reminded me of my brother Chico. You are one of those people who helped us learn how to love life and love those we walk next to while doing so.

I guess I'm not smart enough to post the link but we need to respect the second Mexican to win a stage of the Tour de France. It's ok because the link made the claim that he was the first. Raul Alcala won one stage in the 1989 and another in the 1990 Tours. This year's stage 2 winner was Isaac del Toro from Ensenada, Baja California del Norte the very same Mexican state my family is from though a different town. Vamos Isaac, estamos muy orgulloso de ti. Viva Mexico Cabrones.

It's time for another pox on all the selfish motherf**kers who don't clean up after their own pets. No one is perfect but this type of s**t will come back to you karmically. I hope it's close enough to literal "get what you give" that your dog s**ts on your pillow.

Today's Grito de Gratitud is to whatever group, Good or Bad cleaned up the Poverello Bubble. Riding thru there this morning was like a Christmas miracycle. So here it goes, "Viva Mexico!"

It's not often I post two days in a row but I feel great today. Every goddamned cell in the lower half of my body hurts like hell, but less than yesterday. This world is lost. This town is lost. Collectively, we have lost our way. There are people out there doing right. People doing wrong. Fu***ng best of all? You can never really identify them. Chameleons and shape shifters, each and every one of us. I guess my point is, f**k it. "It" is not what you are without, it is what you are within.

Here we are Zoo animals, so much to be appreciative of and enjoy! Even though I abstain from the honey and douse my food in vinegar, I'd wager, whether it was you or I trying to catch some flies honey is the better choice of weaponry. Imagine how many fish you could outwit with a big bag of flies. Have some fun being sweet, sweeties!

There are many songs that I would enjoy SO much more and many people who's taste in music I would respect more if Bob Mould would have been born a mute. I suppose he'd still need to hear thogh, in this fantasy.
