🏆 2026 Corner Stripe Award: BEST PITCH 🏆

Matthew Taubensee’s four-seam fastball has been named the Pioneer League’s Best Pitch! Velocity, strikeouts, bat-missing ability and chase. Chewy’s heater had it all.

“Chewy is one of the most humble, hard working people I’ve ever encountered. He shows up every day with a mission to improve and find any way he can to do that. He blends the old school out getting mentality with an understanding of how and why his arsenal works to well and this is the result of that.” – Manager Michael Schlact

Congrats, Chewy! 🔥🫎

🏆 2026 Corner Stripe Award: PURE HITTER 🏆

Congratulations to Enzo Apodaca, named the Pioneer League’s Pure Hitter! Bat to ball, pitch adjustability, zone coverage and barrel control. Enzo checked every box.

“Enzo simply knows what he needs to do to get on base. He can hit the ball out of the park if needed but he’s a selfless player who does his job daily. His ability to see and recognize his pitch and an uncanny knack to dissect the opposing pitcher helps him become the hitter he is.” – Manager Michael Schlact

Congrats, Enzo! 👏🫎

One of the most dangerous bats in the Pioneer League.

Xavier Casserilla was a force in the heart of the Paddleheads lineup all summer long, finishing 2026 with a .380 average, 33 homers, and 111 RBIs.

What a year, X 🫡

ALL-STAR CHEWEY ⭐️

Matthew Taubensee has been named to the 2026 Pioneer Baseball League All-Star Team after a dominant season out of the PaddleHeads bullpen.

2.94 ERA | 49.0 IP | 84 K | 11 SV

“Matthew has been one of the elite bullpen arms in the PBL the last two seasons. We couldn’t be more proud of who he is for us on the field and off it too. His hard work during the offseason and in season as well culminated in this well-deserved honor for him.”
– Michael Schlact

No. 45 was a problem out of the ‘pen 🔥

Good luck to the other pitchers, because brotha didn’t like striking out.

Ty Yukumoto stepped up to the plate 348 times this season and struck out only 17 times. That’s a 4.9% strikeout rate. 🤯

Bats were alive in Missoula all summer long. 🔥

Six qualified PaddleHeads finished the 2026 season above the .300 mark, with all six hitting .329 or better.
