To help our incoming freshman and varsity players continue to grow, we’ll now be bringing everyone in together. This will create stronger chemistry, better leadership, and a more solid foundation for our program. Lion P.R.I.D.E.

Incoming freshmen football parents: starting TOMORROW, you can pick your child up at the high school after they complete spring practice. This will be for tomorrow and Thursday. Please pass this on to any incoming freshmen football parents.

We’ll see the incoming freshmen football players tomorrow night for an evening of information & welcoming all our new Ouachita Lions!

2026 season schedule is out…

Signing day for six of our Lion football players will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, at 10:30am inside the OPHS Auditorium. CONGRATS!

Wydell Clark Jr was a finalist for the Warrick Dunn Award last night. We are so proud of all of his accomplishments over his career, and we wish him well as he moves on to play football at the next level!

For anyone wanting to watch the Warrick Dunn Award (the LHSAA Network Player of the Year), below are the instructions to tune in at 7 pm.

We are certainly going to miss the one and only Mike Downhour on the broadcast. He has been true and faithful to the ⭕️ for 36 years. We are proud of the work he’s done and glad to have had him as part of our team for those 36 years.

Ouachita Lions Football would like to congratulate our very own Coach Benjy Lewis for being named The Ouachita Citizen Coach of the Year.
As a man of great integrity, he has poured so much into the lives of our players, coaches, trainers, video staff, and all other support team members. I think we can all agree that he is the right person for this award this season.

Thanks, Coach, for a great season. We have enjoyed the ride this year, and especially enjoyed the for that final trip.
