Join us at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Section S of Murphy Center!
REMINDER: The Blue Zoo, the registered student organization backing Blue Raider Athletics, will hold a special called meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Section S of Murphy Center to amend its constitution and nominate candidates for officers to serve during the 2025-26 season. Come to the section from the top-level doors of Murphy Center; there will be no access to the section seating area from the lower-level doors or floor.
We will be meeting to consider approval of the following changes to the Blue Zoo Constitution and Bylaws:
-- Motion 1: Amend the Constitution and Bylaws at Article II, Section 3-C, under the heading of “Officers.” As currently written:” Presidents may serve a maximum of two (2) terms in their position, whether they are consecutive or not.” Proposed change: Delete Article II, Second 3-C, in its entirety. This change means there would not be a limit of terms a student may serve as President
-- Motion 2: Amend the Constitution and Bylaws at Article II, Section 4-A, under the heading of “Elections:" As currently written: “Elections of officers shall be by a simple majority of members voting and will be conducted the first full Monday through Friday of April.” Proposed change: “Elections of officers shall be by a simple majority of members voting and will be conducted no later than June 30.”
The full constitution for the club can be found on our MyMT page. The motions may be approved by a simple majority of all who attend the special meeting.
Also at the meeting, if the amendments to the constitution are approved, the club will be accepting nominations for officers to serve for the 2025-26 season. Our election will take place on MyMT from Monday, May 12, to Friday, May 16.
