Metro Parks Dance Division

There is still time to register for this year’s Junior Ballet Intensive! Come dance with this amazing line up of Metro Parks Dance Division full-time faculty AND guest instructor Michelle Burlingame. This intensive is a wonderful way for students to transition into a more rigorous training environment over the summer, work with guest faculty, and challenge themselves in a supportive and healthy environment. Students take ballet technique, repertoire, tap, and enrichment classes!

Eligibility requirements:
CURRENT STUDENTS: Appropriate for students enrolled in Ballet: Beg III, Int I (or equivalent) during the 2025/26 school year or as a first intensive for Intermediate Pre-Pointe students.
STUDENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS should have had the following classical ballet schedule during the 2025/26 school year:
Two, 60 minute classical ballet classes per week.
Two 90 minute classical ballet classes per week.

First up is Ansley Batts, a member of Metro Parks Dance Division’s chapter of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts (NHSDA), of which she graduates with honors after completing a senior capstone project. Centennial Youth Ballet Summer Intensive 📣. How amazing is this next lineup of guest faculty? Please welcome contemporary instructor and current Director of Dance .school.official, Tyler Gilstrap, Alex Winer who will be teaching modern classes in Horton Tecnique, Chinese Arts Alliance founder, choreographer, and teacher Jen-Jen Lin, who will lead sessions in Tai Chi, and returning CYBSI 2025 yoga instructor Melanie Swihart!
