Fished with a very nice father and son from Madison Wisconsin area. Water temperature was in the upper 50’s with winds out of the south west , making lake quite rough at times. We ran dead sticks, with either large chubs & suckers in 8-25 feet of water in heavy wood cover. We also casted and vertical jigged 1/4oz Draggin jigs tipped with large fatheads. Guy’s each took home 3 nice walleyes, 1 perch, 1 big white bass and both caught there personal best walleyes and put back many more fish!

Great morning on the water! Today I fish with a great father and son team I have fished with in past on Castle Rock! Today we launched the boat before 7 am and fished till noon. Winds were coming out of south east pretty good all morning make for a great walleye chop on the lake. Water temperature was around 57 degrees the entire trip. Today we ran dead sticks with chubs and vertical jigging we used 1/4oz H20 jigs tipped with large fatheads. Lot’s of walleyes/white bass, in fact we ran out of big chubs in first hour running dead sticks, the amount of 10-14” walleye in this system is insane. Rest of morning we jus vertical jigged along the channel edge in 14-25 feet of water. Guy’s took home a few fish for tonight’s fish fry and put back twice as many.

Great half day trip with a very nice father and son team from southwestern part of Wisconsin. Water temperature was 50.9 when we launched yhe Boat amd around 52 when we headed in this afternoon. Very little wind this morning, mid morning we had a decent chop out of south east, but didn’t last long. Lake was very green in spots, really had to jump around to find clean water. Started day fishing deep water in 12-25 feet of water with heavy wood, few walleyes and perch! Mid morning we fished shallow in 8-14 feet of water and found quite a few walleyes.
Everything came on 1/8oz Draggin jig tipped with large fatheads!!

Half day trip with 3 gentlemen who just built a home on Petenwell Flowage. Water temperature was 56.5 in the early morning and around 58 when we headed back to launch. Very little wind the entire trip. Today we fished 3 different areas along and adjacent to channel in 14-25 feet of water with heavy wood in couple areas. Really didn’t matter presentation, dead stick and vertical jigging caught fish, in fact it was so fast and furious in the first two spots, we pulled dead stick out and just jigged. Dead stick colored hook with-smaller chub or magnum fatheads, vertical jigging we used purple- chartreuse sparkling H20 jig 1/4 oz topped with magnum fatheads.

Great day on the water with Rosie and Todd! Water temperature finally cooled off and the fishing is really good, lot’s of walleyes/ white bass today, did manage few nice crappie and one decent pike as well. Few fish on dead sticks, mostly vertical jigging- 1/8th oz Draggin jig tipped with large fatheads. All our fish today came either along the channel edge or adjacent to the channel in 19 to 25 feet of water with heavy wood.
