Due to the pending arrival of the season’s first Nor’easter, this weekend’s home opener against Norwich is cancelled (for what it’s worth, yes, this is Coastie wx ⛈️, and we did not cx, NU did, but their decision is a prudent one - none of their teams - or CGA’s - will travel).

UPDATE: Men’s match is also cancelled.

A few old lady rugger-engineers met up in New London recently. One is part of ‘16’s Magnificent 7, the other two are ‘18, an equally remarkable group (almost…) but lacking a cool name (“Hvozzy’s People,” maybe? 🤔😉). Two are Academy instructors, the other is a sort of At-Large Civil. All three did their part to lift the program to national prominence. Theirs are the shoulders that others now stand on… ❤️🏉

P.S. This group has at least 10 years of sea time between them. 🌊

At her promotion ceremony, Summer, an engineer at SFLC Alameda, was joined by her Mom & Dad, Annie & Dan, who made the trip west from Queens (even now, 4+ years after her graduation, it's not at all unusual to see them at Stonington). On the left is one of two Coasties who play rugby professionally. Know who she is? On the right is Katherine, a soccer player. Why we didn't steal her is not clear😉. Both are classmates - and also newly-minted LT's.
