BARN ANNOUNCEMENTS & DATES
🐴Several horses from our barn family will be attending the next Golden Spur show in Lebanon this Sunday to wrap up the 2026 season.
🐴Please be thinking about getting your blankets ready and available for if the weather changes on us quickly. If you want your horse blanketed, just let us know! It is not required but we are happy to do it.
🐴For some of our newer boarders that might not know, we will automatically give all horses electrolytes if and when the weather swings to promote drinking and colic prevention.
🐴Currently our hay is fully stocked but we will be taking at least 3 more orders across October and November. When I get the times/dates, I will continue to text that info out so you can plan! They don't always give me much notice so thanks for being flexible!
🐴The tack rooms project is ALMOST finished. We still need to paint lines and add name tags! Hoping to work on it slowly throughout October.
🐴The indoor arena lights are going to be replaced on Saturday, so we will need to close it temporarily for the lift to be in there. While only a few have burnt out, we are going to go ahead and replace all of them while we have the equipment.
🐴We are going to be having all new electrical ran to our outside pastures soon, date TBD. It will involve trenching and may disrupt some pastures or walkways temporarily. This will increase the power so we can run larger water heaters and not have to spend hours breaking ice this Winter.
🐴Planning on adding some additional cameras to our property, but the main one will be over the indoor wash racks so we can manage cleanliness better.
🐴We have our photographer coming on October 11th for family/horse pictures. The list is now finalized and I will be texting out the schedule and payment info soon.
🐴Our next and final show for 2026 at the farm is October 18th, beginning at 3pm. We are also going to be having a sale on horse items and trying to clear out all of our old Lakeside merchandise during the show.
🐴The search is still on for another riding instructor. If you know anyone qualified, please let us know!
