Chennault Flying Service is a full service flight school offering FAA-Part 141 and 61 Flight Training, Accelerated Flight Training, VA-Approved Training, and Multi-Engine. Chennault Flying Service, LLC (CFS) is an aviation company specializing in advanced flight training courses. The company is founded by Joe Chennault, an Air Force Fighter Instructor/Evaluator Pilot with an extensive background in Flight Test, Civilian flight training, Aerobatics and aircraft ownership. As the sole instructor, Joe draws from experience learned in over 4000 hours of civilian, experimental and fighter jet flight time (all single seat PIC). With over 2000 hrs of instruction given in all facets of aviation, Joe has the breadth/depth of instructional abilities not found in a traditional flight school. Additionally, with over 300 hrs combat time flying single seat fighters; situational awareness and task management while flying is a well refined skill. CFS was founded on the principals of highly developed courses and syllabus in high performance aircraft to maximize the customers training and skill-sets in single pilot operations and single pilot cockpit resource management. Further, the course are designed to maximize training while minimizing the customers time commitment. Further, the primary customer market segment that CFS caters too is military pilots obtaining ATP ratings and the Business person or Professional aircraft owner/operator. Courses and training are not taught to prepare a pilot for a right seat job at an airline, rather to operate a high performance complex single engine or twin engine, single pilot, in the weather day or night (not the mission of a traditional flight school). Too often owner/operators in particular those using their aircraft for business are forced to either purchase an airplane that doesn't meet their mission needs to gain experience or to purchase an aircraft that exceeds their confidence or experience skill-sets to meet a mission. The primary reason is flight schools simply don't have the fleet or syllabus to produce a single pilot high performance pilot. Further, a traditional flight schools courses generally do not cater to a professional/business customer who has limited excess time. Current aircraft operated by CFS is a Beech Travel-air for twin training (ATP, MEI, Multi-ratings) and a Mooney M20K-252 for high performance complex training as well as instrument training. The Mooney serves as a great training platform for the discriminating customer looking to improve skills, confidence, experience, or upgrade to a high performance single that serves their Professional mission needs. The Mooney has performance speeds on par with or faster than any other single complex aircraft (Malibu, TTX, Cirrus, Bonanza, C210, etc)...Further with the high wing loading, low drag, turbo and capability to rapidly climb to the flight levels; it is a phenomenal training surrogate for the prospective pilot looking to gain experience prior to upgrading to a single engine turbo-prop.
