1. It was HOT tonight...I've done everything I can to talk to those in charge...but I'm not ultimately in control and have no idea if A/C will be working fully tomorrow or not. Pray with me that it is. But plan accordingly with water for your dancers!! We will have bottles for sale as well.

2. A message from Backstage Managers: Please make sure that dancers who need to be stage LEFT are stage LEFT and RIGHT are stage RIGHT and they CANNOT walk at the back of the stage where the white curtain is for lighting, it shakes it and is visible from audience. Please have all dancers use the hallway to cross from one side to the other. Miss Erin will be there to do her best to direct this tomorrow. Parent helpers don't stress so much about have them in order, wait until we get them to the wings them order them. We will help backstage.

3. If you preordered flowers for your dancer they will be availble for pick up, we still have lots left, but just buy them when you get there don't email me because I may not see it! When you pick up state your name and that you preordered. They will be set aside for you. Reminder $20 for each bouquet and cash or check made out to OCCS will be payment methods.

Pointe work is so incredibly hard! It takes sacrifice, endurance, hard work, and determination. Breaking down strongholds in our lives and taking our thoughts captive is the same. It doesn't happen magically, you have to work at it, replacing lies you've believed with God's truth. Repeatedly, diligently, with prayer, with determination. Changing the neural pathways in your brain to go a new way, God's way. Making your thoughts become obedient to Christ.

All but 2 of our our pointe dancers are first year pointe students. We're pretty sure you're going to be blown away by how far they've come and how beautifully they dance. But remember to achieve that beauty and grace took a lot of time, hard work and perseverance (even some blood sweat and tears at times).

We hope you recital tomorrow challenges you to not give up on taking your thoughts captive!

Tickets will also be available at the door.

In our society we are under constant assault. Each day we are confronted with anywhere between 4,000 to 10,000 advertisements and messages in the media.

This endless exposure is rewiring our brains, programming discontent as our default state.

In reality God doesn’t want us to compare ourselves to others, he designed each of us uniquely in His image.

He didn’t make any mistakes when He created us, and he didn’t make any mistakes in the way he created you either.

Galatians 1:10 says
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

As Topaz Jazz's song "Photoshop" says, "We’re not meant to look alike, we are meant for standing out and burning bright."

We hope this fun and spunky jazz dance inspires you to burn bright just the way God created you!

Did you get your tickets yet? Don't worry you can buy them at the door too!

Did you know that you can bring all your thoughts and feelings to God?

In Topaz Ballet's dance to “Overthinking” the song writer demonstrates this to us and encourages us that God will never leave us, even in the midst of troubling times and spiraling out of control thoughts. God will meet us THERE and show us that He cares.

"Do I tell You I feel hopeless?
Do I tell You that I'm scared?
Do I ask You for some clarity and say this isn't fair?
When I think that You don't notice
Is when You show me that You're a God who cares
When I'm sinking, overthinking, I know
That You won't leave me there"

God doesn’t want us wasting time worrying about the things of this life and trying to do things ourselves.

We hope you are encouraged through their dance on Saturday June 6th at Waterman.
